Any other people have this kind of experience. CET has cut my offers down the past year big time. From 2-5 free nights to none. Not even at Quad. And that is even with my play going up every year for the past 4 years. I used to be a 15-25 per hand at bj and pai gow. Along with poker each day. (that was 5 years ago. Now I am a 25-100 player (the past 3 years) at bj and pai gow and closer to 50-75 average since I almost always play 2 hands at a time with 25 min. My poker has gone way up over the years, but I still get in almost 4 hours of table play each day. I go to vegas 4-6 times a year. And I think this is what killed my average play and comps. I play in wsop events and other poker series events. There are many days where I will play in a tourny all day for 12 hours. So maybe these days rates me as being at the hotel, but no play at the tables, even though I am buying into 1500-2500 buy in poker tournaments. This might of really killed me I guess last JUNE during the WSOP. I ended up being there for 10 days and payed a total of 105.00 at RIO. I played in touranements almost every day I was there. 3 WSOP events all 1500-2500 buyin. And the other days the dailys that were 230 buyin. I did play some table games but only a couple days at 4-5 hours on those days. Since then my offers are gone.

So I could be wrong, but I guess they consider buying into large poker tournaments as low balling an offer if you dont hit the tables or slots those days. So I guess now I done with them. ANy thoughts on this. I thougth about inquiring to CET why my comps are gone. I have never had a host since I was just happy getting free rooms on weekdays and only paying 25-50 a night on weekends at PH, Flamingo, harrahs or ballys. Maybe I should get a host and that would help to explain that some trips are strickly poker days at higher buy in tournys. ANy other people out there with advice that play half poker and half table game play.

How many tier credits are you earning per day for your table play? My guess is you might not be getting rated fairly. That could be due to many factors.

You have it exactly right. The days you are staying there and not playing table games are bringing down your daily average play. They aren't counting poker tournaments or poker play, because those comps are separate.

I will go back to the earlier question. How many tier credits are you earning on those days?

And, on you poker only days, do you give them your card? If so, you may be impacting your ADT big time.

In their defense, about the only thing they have is your daily average spend/at risk. They then make a business decision based on that. Put yourself in their shoes. Would you give somebody a $80 room if you expect to get $xx dollars back?

Yes, you have to give your card to sign up for any tournament. You actually earn tier credits while playing poker (at least at the cash game table but I dont know how much per hour) I dont know how many tier credits I am earning per day. On most trips when I look back I earn about 5000-7500 reward credits. Trips range from 3-5 days. I didnt include the WSOP long trip of almost all pure poker. That trip I only earned close to 5000 but I was there a lot of days.

My scenario is similar. I've noticed that the better (longer) I play in CET poker tournaments, the worse my comps. If I do well (as in cash a tournament), it doesn't bother me too much. And after a long day or two of tournaments, sometimes I just want a drink, a good meal, a show/comedy club, and relax.

I used to get a lot of comps from them. I'm sure it's my play nowadays. BUT, I've noticed if I room with a buddy who has a CET card and who hasn't been in Vegas for a while, we usually get comped rooms. Go figure.

17 Tier/hr; 100 Reward Credits/hr for 1/2-1/3 NL and 34 Tier/hr; 200 Reward Credits for 2/5+ NL. It's peanuts vs. higher limit table games and likely helped lower your ADT because ADT for poker is $12/hr tops. And every time you played a tourney, that created a gaming day. And a 4 hour cash session and nothing else will give you a piddly ADT of ~$50, which isn't enough for them probably. Poker is the casino loss leader for sure.

Simple math. Poker players give very little money to the casino. Not financially worth it them to give you more in comps than they get in return.
