Just curious as to guys favorite shoes for walking around...............last time(first time too!) there I just wore my Ecco sandals everwhere, they are comfy. Was kinda wondering about a more dressy type shoe so I don't feel like a beach bum in the more classy type restaurants, etc. Thoughts?

I really love Sperry Top Siders, the boat shoes in particular are great.

I wear Rockport walking shoes for the most part. When I know I won't be walking from one end of the strip to the other, I will wear a pair of leather flip flops with arch support that I got at Costco. Very comfortable and cool during the heat of the day/night.

Guessing some folks here would be of little help. I am one of those that is not comfortable wearing sandals across the room. (hate that part of the spa trip).

I wear your basic sneakers part of the time, dockers boat shoes work well. Found some "sneakers" that come in all brown so they look more like shoes. Works well for my 5-10 miles a day in Vegas.

I have worn different options that I was comfortable walking miles in.

Nikes, broken in cowboy boots, dress shoes and sandals.

I have worn, once, a pair of shoes that were not broken in. Don't ever buy a new pair of shoes and just wear them in Vegas for the first time. That is my biggest suggestion.

If you choose to wear your dress shoes, make sure they are tight, you have some comfy socks and they are broken in.

I have worn a suit around town multiple times with my Cole Haans and never had an issue.

I have worn my Born shoes the last few trips and they are versatile enough to work with jeans, slacks and shorts. I second FBS on making sure they are broken in before hitting the Strip. You don't want to be "that guy" carrying his shoes while walking on sore feet.

Bought my husband two different pairs of Skechers with memory foam before our May trip and he loved them. One was sneakerish, the other more boat shoe looking.

There are other kinds of mens shoes besides dress shoes, sneakers and boots?

Usually a pair of Nike's unless I'm going out for a nice dinner.

Not yet. But I have seen guys so drunk they lost their shoes and were barefoot. Probably feeling no pain but it's still not a good look.

Black Rebock walking shoes for conventions. A good shine on them, and no one can tell.
Out and about, I've become fond of Clark's newbuck slip ons. Comfortable and good looks.
Dress shoes. Nope. Not in Vegas.

I bring two pairs of Converse, Chuck Taylor's.

Still the best fit for me and the all black ones look like a "sneaker persons" sneaker, so people (mistakenly) think they are nice.

    Guy's guy shoes:

Either a pair of black & white Chucks (often newly purchased from the shop at the Outlet Mall) or some lightweight walking boots (current pair are a cheapo pair of Karrimor) or my poorly polished work shoes that are currently some brown Brogue style boots. I go for a walk every lunchtime (only chance to see daylight during the British winter months) so even my smart shoes have to be comfortable to walk in.

I am convinced that white New Balance crosstrainers, Hawaiian shirt and chinos are the standard issue uniform for every white male 40-59 that vacations in Vegas.

Agreed on Sperry boat shoes. Rockports are solid as well.

Assuming it isn't winter, I put on a pair of Keens and wear them every day.

As nostresshere and a couple others mentioned, some athletic or walking shoes come in brown or black and are passable dress shoes. I recommend New Balance 928's. Mag insisted I take those on our European travels. She was convinced that MY WHITE WALKING SHOES would identify us as Americans to everyone in Italy. Another squeak stopped.

I try to pack very light, so I wear a pair of dress shoes and pack flip-flops in my backpack. I try to wear something that is comfortable but can get into nice places. Sketchers has some very nice memory foam dress shoes that work great.
