This brought back great memories of fishing with my Dad in the early 50's.
We caught sheepshead on cane poles in a canal in Ft. Myers.

Thanks for the story and pictures.

Very nice Dewey. Fishing is my crack, but right now everywhere close to me is frozen. May your bus always be on time this New Year.

Thanks for reading. Fun to share.
Thanks for the blessing, Mongo. I don't worry too much about late buses. They are so rare and it all works out.
Well, almost time to bake a couple grunts.

Good job Dewey. Thanks for sharing. I was able to catch a steelhead the day after Christmas. Hopefully, I will get to go again on New Years Eve and send 2012 out right. LOL!!

Enjoyed the pictures. Reminded me to bring warm clothing as we are less than a couple weeks away from fishing off South Padre Island.

Actually, I started coming to Florida because once the lake I live on in upstate NY froze, the motorcycle racing guy across the water plowed a track and raced round and round for hours along with every four wheeler in the area. It was incredibly loud in our house as it was directly in front of us.
I think you will get ice this year. Happy perch and pike.
