    Trips to Las Vegas:
    2
Just wanted to say hello and we're headed to Vegas on Sunday. My wife's first time. I've been with buddies before but mostly for golf. This will be our first (hopefully of many) couple's trips. We're meeting friends from our university days and renting cars. Going to be there 5 nights. Any recommendations on things to do and see for Vegas newbies are most welcome. Also looking forward to exploring the board.

I have to say that it will be very hard to resist the temptation to golf on this trip. Way too many awesome courses in LV!!! But if all goes well, golf trip planned for the fall!

Welcome. I was just up in your neck of the woods last week, played Banff and Jasper.

If you ever want to talk Vegas golf just give a shout out. I've played 'em all -- literally -- and others here are pretty close to my tally.

Thanks for the reply. Banff and Jasper are two great Stanley Thompson courses! Next time you're up this way, you've got to try Stewart Creek in my hometown of Canmore. Silvertip is nice, too (if a bit gimmicky) Unfortunately the two gems in Kananaskis got wiped out by the flooding last year.

For Vegas last year we golfed Bear's Best, Primm Valley, Badlands, LVN, Paiute Snow, and TPC. Standouts for us were Badlands, Paiute and Primm. Vegas truly is the Disneyland of golf. Any recommendations you have are most welcome. Buddies and I are hoping to be back in LV for Sept./Oct

Yep, so sad about that flooding last year. It actually delayed our trip a year.

I'd catch at least one of the other two at Paiute, and definitely do the drive up to Coyote Springs. And if you and you mates have never done so, add a Scottsdale/Phoenix junket to your play list some year. Talk about stellar desert golf ...

Welcome to VMB. Where are you staying?

As far as things to do, seems most folks explore the Strip casinos/resorts and check out the Fremont Street Experience downtown. Are you looking for activities off the strip?
