Hello everyone! I'm a message board forum vet but have only recently found this place. Seems to be packed with excellent info, great people (so far!), and I look forward to contributing. We're still new to the Vegas scene, having been only once previously (December 2013). We loved it so much that we've already booked to return Dec 2014 and will stay even longer. Definitely lean a bit more towards the sights, shows, and food than the actual gambling side of things but do enjoy some video poker, blackjack, and craps.

    Impressions from our initial trip...

    1) Everything is so over the top! Ridiculousness abound... fountains, volcanoes, etc.
    2) Stayed at Vdara. Thought it was a great place to get away from the madness but close enough to dive right back in. Very nice, would definitely recommend.
    3) Looking forward to another massive bacon waffle at Hash House AGG!
    4) Favorite casino experience was Planet Hollywood. Seemed pretty laid back.
    5) Nearly assaulted by timeshare peddlers when attempting to walk through the smoky confines of Excalibur casino.\
    6) Warning! Objects may be further away than they appear!

This may be my new favorite place to visit. We've already booked our next stay in December but this time will be at the Palazzo thanks to a great deal on Priceline Express. Looks like a nice place and will be a good home base to give the north side some exploration time.

Anyway, looking forward to spending some time here with everyone and doing my best to contribute as our experience in Vegas grows.

Thanks for the welcome and that itch has already started. We do have Tunica somewhat nearby but definitely not the same!

It never is. My office is five minutes from a casino and I never go. Nor do I have any desire to go, usually. But Vegas...that's a different story.
