    Hi everyone,

Been lurking here for several months and have loved reading all of your contributions. Really makes me feel like I'm in Vegas, especially the trip reports! I am 26, from Florida and have been to Vegas 6 times:

    1998 (8 years old - may not count) - Hampton off-strip
    2007 - Planet Hollywood
2010 - THEhotel at Mandalay Bay (now the Delano)
    2014 - NYNY
    2014 II - Paris
    2015 - The LINQ

Needless to say, I absolutely love Vegas. So far in life, most of my trips have been courtesy of my parents, who are Vegas lovers themselves and really love both Paris and the Cromwell. I am currently getting settled into what I hope will be my long-time career, one which - if I were to reach a certain level of success - would allow me to travel to Vegas often. I have never done a solo trip, but want to do one - though I want to go on most of them with others.

My dream Vegas schedule would be to have the following trips every year:

New Years - College Football Playoff
    Late March - March Madness
Summer - Romantic Trip with whoever I'm seeing at the time, or someone random
Fall - One solo trip to bet on college football
Fall - One group trip with friends to bet on college football

The last trip is special to me because it's what a group of my buddies and I have talked about for a while. When we all are set in our careers and have the ability to go to Vegas often, we want to do a trip where we stay at so-called lower end hotels (on the Strip and/or Downtown) and just not care about anything for a few days. No cell phone use except for emergencies (God help us), just a plain old fashioned good time.

I am a huge college football fan and a moderate college basketball fan, and as far as gambling, I'm definitely a low roller. I LOVE video slots, and I'll spend the rest of my time playing video roulette, video poker, video blackjack, actual blackjack, or rarely something else. I want to participate in some low roller poker tournaments, especially the ones that last into the night, but I haven't done so yet.

My personal ambition - shared by at least one of my best friends - is to stay at every major casino hotel in Vegas. I simply love the place. I love the attitude about it which tells us to put our worries out of our heads for a few days, put the stress away, and just focus on the beauty of the here and now. I hope that's not too poetic for everyone.

Anyway, I hope you have gotten to know me a bit and I look forward to getting to know you better as well.

    Thanks for reading!

Welcome, NPLV! I love your screen name. Very creative--and true!

I agree with your stance on putting away the cell phone. My wife feels the complete opposite and is on hers non-stop! Oh, well...

    Again, welcome to the Board!

Welcome. I agree, the trip reports make it seem like I am there. Makes it bearable to wait the rest of the time til my next trip. :wiggle:
