Back home in Australia now, just had fourteen nights in Vegas.Must say one thing about you Americans, you all make someone feel welcomed.Had a absolute brilliant time with you all .Only hope we Australians can return the favour when you come out here.So many of you asked about Australia when you heard my accent at the Black Jack tables,.again I repeat myself, come on out.You will love Australia, our people and food are just great, countryside is beautiful.Dollar is in your favour at the moment. Now l have to admit to you all,l did not win one session of Black Jack whilst l was there.Enjoyed every session though,Pokies just forget it.Stayed at The MardiGras Casino(missed the NASCARS because the bus trips were all sold out, also why l was at this establishment(still enjoyed this place, although off the strip).Excalibur was next, followed by Stratosphere .Then three nights at my home Casino,El Cortez, dead give away about my personality .Palace Station next, followed by Four Queens (one of my favourites).Meals were just to large for me/her.Ribs at the Four Queens were just unbelieveable,Man Vs Food stuff, and l love my meat. However, felt guilty about the animal l had to waste.Vegies calm down now.Got a bus pass whilst there, even found shops that sold groceries,a real test of living conditions of a city, bad habit l have got.Avoided the strip as much as l could this time to see the real Vegas, guess what? Same/Same in Australia.Good/Bad news for you all,l could move there tomorrow and have a great life/existence.Just love the place/people.This was my fourth trip there .:licklips:

Glad you had a wonderful time. Would love to come see your country but it seems everytime I go to buy tickets to anywhere, they say McCarran. LOL

Glad you enjoyed your stay here mate....i've met some people from your country
and they were some of the most enjoyable people i have ever met...

one of my bucket list things after retirement is to visit your homeland for a month or so...
want to experience the cities and then hit as many racetracks as possible.
i watch Aussie racing on TVG all the time and want to see it live,. Melbourne cup is number 1..

about 3 years ago i was on a bus tour in vegas and met a lovely couple from down under and it so
happened they owned a few race horses...

You sound like the fella l meet at Palace Station whilst over there. He wanted to do the same sort of trip as you want.As l said to him, land in Sydney and then travel down to Melbourne for the Cup Week.Doing the country meetings on the way down to Melbourne.Do your homework before you come regarding the race meetings.I can assure you,you will have the time of your life over here. Now do not forget that we also have the greyhound races down here.(Media giving them a hard time at the moment, regarding live baiting for the dogs.No comment from me,but forty years ago my neighbour had dogs and l remember?????) For your information a lot of horse betting goes on in the pubs and clubs here (RSL,Football etc) Horse racing is old school betting at the moment,do not get me wrong though, there is still a lot of old school around. The pommy betting mobs are advertising a lot on TV at the moment for the horse/football ect gambling accounts and l think it is having an effect on the young ones. Now my biggest problem for you is that you drive on the wrong side of the road, bear this in mind before you come over.I looked at the road system whilst over there but l just don't know. Our roads are not as many laned as yours, didn't hire a car whilst there to go to the Shelby Museum for this reason. Not trying to scare you, just keep in the back of your mind when planning your trip.
