Just got something in the mail saying that this promotion is going to start up again on July 1st and end on Oct 1st. One big difference this time around is that you have to earn 25 points at each destination. Also they have raised the maximum credits you can earn to 75,000. You also must swipe at each location as well as earn 25 points. Reward credits will post by Nov 15th.

Awesome! loved this promo last year. 25 points = $125 coin in. If they give $150 in TR credits it might not be worth it to specifically travel to a location for the promo, but if you're going to be stopping by anyways its a no brainer. I stop by Laughlin, San Diego and Vegas often so I guess I'll have those in the bag.

I see a lot less people swapping cards this time around although I'm still willing to trade lol. Would have to be someone reliable who gambles through that normally.

Woohoo another promotion. Dang I love these things. Only downside is they kill your comps when they deposit the points.
Doesn't seem fair but it's CET after all.
Now I have to plan out how all 4 of us can get 15 checkpoints in from July 1- Oct. 1... Last summer my grandma was traveling the country so that was easy but not so easy this summer. Wheels are uh turnin'

I doubt I will even bother this year. I can hit Vegas and assumed I would be able to make a trip to Laughlin (since I have never gone there). And with a conference in Detroit I could hit Windsor. But since Laughlin is combined with LV & Windsor is only a 2 point destination, I'm really out of the running totally. If each destination was worth an equal amount I could at least get the lowest value with no problem at all.

I would have hit the road & taken my mom to St. Louis but not for a 1 point destination. And we just completed our AC trip - blast it!

Hmm only 14 points for the ones I did last year

    1. Las Vegas & Harrah's Laughlin (1 combined destination - either or/ not both i.e. 3 points MAX)
    2. Tunica, Mississippi (Harrah’s, Roadhouse and Horseshoe)
    4. Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana (Harrah’s and Horseshoe) (1 combined destination)
    5. Chicago area (Harrah’s Joliet and Horseshoe Hammond) (1 combined destination)
    10. Biloxi, Mississippi (Grand)
    13. New Orleans, Louisiana (Harrah’s)

Not really sure where I'll get my 7th. I may end up cutting out Chicago though and just go for $500.

If you were going to send your card to some one how much cash do you think you'd need to send to get the 25 points?

I think the best situation is if both parties need the 25 points. Then they are free to earn them however they want without exchanging money. You can't really put a value on the points because variance comes into play. This promo is best for people who would earn 25 points on their visit to the casino anyways. All they would do at this point is switch players cards with someone else who would be doing the same thing at another casino. Sometimes $10 can do it, other times you'll need $100

25 points won't be a problem for me so if anyone needs the points from San Diego and/or Vegas and can return the favor let me know. I'll be in Vegas starting July 1!

I can hit Chicago and can play one-for-one (or two-for-two, if you include my wife). I am also going to Las Vegas within the time period but would rather not be tied down as it is really a poker trip. PM to coordinate trades of Chicago vs wherever.

And for goodness sake, do it before CET management reads this board!

Well this is interesting...we'll have no problem with getting enough stops but the logistics of getting points for other people will take more planning. Remember it's $125 for 5 points in slots but $250 for VP.

I suppose I could keep track of wins/losses from property to property but that's still a good amount of cash to send to someone if one still needed 2-3 destinations.

If anyone has any other thoughts im all ears.

I have not seen the official info yet but read on one board that you will not get the Tier Credits while getting the CheckPoints for the promotion. Will have to see the rules.

So they aren't going to give the 1st 25 tier credits to everyone, everyday? That makes no sense and would piss off quite a few people. I don't see that being true.

For people you don't know, I can't think of anyway to really do it differently. I'll most likely be doing it for a few family members and I'm planning on just sharing in the wins and losses. I'm not going to penalize someone because it took $100 for 1 card and only $10 for someone elses card.

I guess you could do the same thing if you had multiple people sending you money at the same time though.

It is also going to be a hassle because I think people would expect money back if they sent a worst case scenario.

    This would just be strange.

Tier credits just tell the casino how much you played. You actually get nothing from them directly. I find it odd that they would ignore the first $125 coin in for promotions as well. Isn't the promotion basically trying to get people to come into the casinos more often?(which is worked for me last year).

You do earn tier credits for all of your play no matter what. You misunderstood the rule that says the promotional credits that you win are not tier credits.

As I said I have not seen the official rules yet but I also read that you need to swipe your card in EVERY CheckPoint at the Promotions Kiosk. Now my question is, "Do you need your pin at the Promotions Kiosk?" I cannot remember.

I don't think the PIN is needed at the kiosk, but I am going on July 1 to Joliet, and I will check it out.

As far as I know a pin isn't needed for just a swipe. However they have changed the rules this year on everything else so who knows.

As to keeping track of the money I would create a win loss for that person and at the end of the promo I'd send back any of the money left over upto the original buyin.

So if someone sent $250 for 2 destinations and the 1st place it took $90 to get 25 points and the 2nd place I cost -$15 (meaning after 25points earned I was up $15) the total cost for the 2 destinations was $75 and I'd send the $175 back. If I won $215 vs $15 then I would be up $125 [(cash on hand $250 + $215 - $90) - original $250] In that case I would send back all $250. I don't think I would. E obligated sending back any profit since the purpose of the excercise is get the 25 points per destination.

Does that seem fair or unfair to anyone?
