    My Trip Report

My husband and I will be going to the Grand Biloxi in Oct. for 4 nights (comped room).

We have never been to Biloxi before, but we like Tunica, Ms and I have been told it is very similar to Tunica. And we know, Biloxi is not Vegas. LOL We love Vegas, but cannot go until 2014.

My question is, has anyone tried the 20.00 trick when checking into the Grand Biloxi. and did it work or not? Just wondering?

Any info on the Grand and other casino's in Biloxi will be welcomed.

    Thanks in advance. :)

They do have some suites. Usually on the end of the hallways. 2 rooms, 2 flat screens, fridge. 4 person jacuzzi, walk in shower, king bed. $20 might work if they have availability.

I stayed in a suite at the Grand earlier this month. It was accurately described in a previous post inside this thread. If you want a suite, be prepared to walk as they are located at the end of the hall. I'm not sure if I would pay anything for a suite upgrade.

The Grand is what they call a boutique casino, i.e. SMALL. It was one of the coast's largest before you-know-what. No problem as the Hard Rock and Beau Rivage are less than a mile away. The IP and Palace (all non-smoking) are located in the area. October should be a great weather month to visit.

If your husband plays golf, the Grand operates Grand Bear, a course located 30 miles from the casino. A wonderful layout.

We stayed at the Grand last August on a comp and were given room 1238 which was billed as the Presidential Suite. It was a very nice room but the view of the old hotel slab kind of took something away. I can't wait to so back for a followup trip.

Thank you all for the information on the Grand.

    I really appreciate it.

My husband is going to check out the Grand Bear golf course that was mentioned.

Think I will just stick with our comped room and put the 20.00 in a machine. LOL

We stayed one night at the Grand in July and enjoyed it. We were in a regular room, but a housekeeper gave us a tour of a suite next door as she was cleaning it. Very nice and would be worth a $20 IMO. I did go into the hosts office the morning after playing for a few hours the evening before and they gave me a breakfast comp without any hassle. Have a great time.

You definitely want to tour all the other casinos. Golden Nugget just bought out the Isle, and they have a nice sexy dealer section. Every other casino has something to offer, IMO, so travel around. The Beau is the nicest, and the IP is pretty good, though big and crowded on the weekend. The Palace is nice as it is 100% no smoking. Even check out Margaritaville; small but can be fun.
