I am really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I am thinking of checking it out in December. I have to say though, it doesn't seem to have generated much buzz one way or the other since its opening.

Thanks you two...yeah, the pre opening hype seems to have died away
and I haven't heard much about GORETORIUM lately. And what with
Halloween coming on (even though there's lots of competition)...
    I was expecting more reports.

We went just this past week. IMO ...highly overrated and definitely not worth the money. I have only gone to 1, or 2 haunted houses in my life so not much to compare it to but needless to say I was expecting a lot more than what this was. Was I ever scared? Not the least bit. It was fun, kinda neat in parts but overall not anywhere near the $77 ticket price for the two of us, and that was with a discount. Now the guy out front with the light in his eye socket (before you ever get inside the goretorium) was probably the neatest thing there. There are pictures of him online...very cool. I'm still not positive that he is just missing his eye though and it's not a special effect. If it is just LED's and makeup, it's the best makeup job ever! lol I don't want to give details of the haunt/gore but I read all the hype before hand and was expecting a lot more, even the size of the place was disappointing. It's not multilevel as some reports have said and I saw no need for another visit as some have suggested that "multiple trips would be required to see it all" We had fun with it, and I'm not sorry we went, just nothing like what I was expecting. I can't honestly recommend it, and I'm not about to tell anyone not to go. Some might find it terrifying, others in our group seemed a little scared, just don't go expecting too much. There are some neat props throughout the place that were either really gross, or just neat to see. I grew up on monster movies and blood and gore so this stuff doesn't bother me the least bit. Others that have a weak stomach it might get to them a little.

I'd like to visit it but I find as I'm getting older I'm not a fan of excessive gore / blood and guts. I won't even watch any of the torture porn horror movies including Eli Roth's. When I was a teenager I would have been all over them. Funny how thing change as you get further into adulthood.

I did walk through the Harmon Corner when I was there and saw the guy with the light in his eye outside the store. Got to admit that he does look very cool and creepy.

I might give it a shot but not at $40.

    THANKS 'rukus'...I just printed mine.
Yeah, GORETORIUM sounds like more yack and no sack however...
I'm still curious and for twentynine bucks, I can easily satisfy my
curiousity. I'll stop in next week after either SANTANA or ZARKANA.

I was reading a couple of reviews on TA (I think) a few days back and people were saying the whole 'show' is only 10-15 mins. I'm planning on going next week and will verify.
