I took a GoPro on my last Vegas trip and will hopefully be bringing another one this time. I was never turned away in any of the pools or clubs I went to with it.

I'd imagine you could take one anywhere in Vegas except for shows and strib clubs.

On the jack colton forums, it seems hit or miss. Liquid at Aria doesn't allow them. People were denied at EBC. Just here and there.

If you wore it on your hat and walked through the casino or played Craps would you think anyone would say something???
I watched a few video on YouTube that people did while playing Craps (in Vegas) as was surprised no one said anything.

I looked into getting a GoPro but they were very expensive without the attachments and memory card. Are you paying full price or able to find a good deal?

I bought one yesterday thanks to $150 in gift cards. So I made the investment. I've also been told before while playing craps that no pictures are allowed. So strange.

My wife and I had a good craps session last trip and wanted our picture taken with our racks full of chips. Here the pit boss used our camera and took our picture.

Maybe it the casino or pit boss. The 20 minute video of the Craps session was at PH. Its on YouTube.

We went to Light and EBC. At EBC they just told us to put the camera in a locker, but they didn't deny us it

I bought a GoPro Hero3 Black because I was planning on wearing it when I do Tough Mudder events and also attaching it to my car when I go out street racing.

I am super disappointed in it. The battery only last about 85 minutes (on 720 and lowest FPS), the wifi remote glitches out often, and the wind noise is horrible.

I will say, the anti-shake software is amazing...I wear it using a head mount during Tough Mudder and it barely shakes while running and through obstacles...

I have thought about wearing it using a chest mount while in Vegas, but the battery limitations make it pointless

I read all it of reviews about the battery. I got the Silver. I bought 2 batteries and an external double charger because of the battery reviews. Hopefully I can do some good with it on my trip.

Turn off your wifi whenever possible, that's a huge battery drain. As far as the wifi glitching, it's most likely a setting on your phone. Mine was constantly dropping the connection and then I changed some setting to "stay connected". What happens is the phone sees your data connection as being a better connection and drops the wifi.

Another good battery and charger to get is the Wasabi brand on Amazon. Cheaper and better battery life.

I use the wifi remote, not the phone app.

I have to use the wifi when I have the camera mounted to the car, cuz I cant get out and press the record button while driving

But during the last Tough Mudder event I just reached up and pressed the record button and didnt use the wifi and the battery still only lasted about 90 minutes

My husband wants one of these for bike riding. I'm sorry to hear about the battery issues.

Changing the battery is really pretty simple, so for riding I can see carrying a spare as a viable option...but for Tough Mudder I wouldnt want to be opening up the camera while all muddy.

For the racing, I guess I could swap the batteries if we stop.

Other than the battery life i am extremely impressed with the product as a whole, the video quality and the anti-shake software in amazing. I would recommend the product to others, but dont want their expectations to be that they can record a full day of events on a single charge
