Hi Sam, Looks like a fun place and happy they got such a nice review.
However, after reading I'm still not sure if a straight couple would be encouraged or discouraged from stopping in for a couple of drinks and to see the show. What is your thought on it?

I really don't think you would be discouraged. I do think you have to go in knowing what you will see though.

It sounds like a good place to try out for a drink. I think it will be very obvious if you feel uncomfortable or are having a good time within minutes.

That would depend entirely on you. I've had lengthy chats with staffers during quiet early afternoons about this very subject. They couldn't be more welcoming to everyone. If you're willing to go along for the ride, you've got them to take you there. If not, there are a thousand and one conventional places to choose from.

That being said, I hope you give it a try and satisfy your curiousity.

My wife and I have attended Drink and Drag. We felt comfortable there. The staff were attentive, the drinks O.K, and the limited food served was typical bar fare (needs work). Still, a good experience. The place has a good vibe.

Now, it probably needs to be said we are Liberals in most matters. I'm guessing most people who would feel uncomfortable in a place like D&D simply won't go there in the first place. It’s not hiding what it is.

Thanks Sam! My crew, all straight but NOT homophobic, and I will definitely swing by there next trip! It looks like it would be fun and different. It will have to be at dark and at night though as I hate to go where all the dudes are better looking and in better shape than me!

I'll drop in on my next trip downtown. I saw some of the DQ's advertising the place out on fremont by the zipline. Seemed like nice guys...err gals...err you know!

I think new business in neonopolis deserve our business for attempting to occupy a space where most others have failed!

I visited D&D on my last trip. The staff were fun and very accepting of my straightness. They were very engaging and explained allot of the "culture" to a knuckle-head like me.

And a big plus, there were no pretentious Hipsters in the place!

I like to go, have fun, see a part of America that I would not ordinarily see.

It's almost as fun as the Cal and hanging out with those mean old Hawaiian ladies!

I heard on another board that the menu might expand to some grilled items...healthier stuff. NO confirmation, just rumor.

ChiChi is awesome. She has a lot of style. I've talked to her about our board and shown her a couple of threads. She's real happy that people from here are coming in....
