We're planning to go to a concert at Hard Rock but I recall reading somewhere that it's very much a party place. So we're thinking of staying at another nearby hotel rather than at Hard Rock.
When it's time to go to sleep, we want quiet. Is that possible at Hard Rock? or are we better off staying elsewhere?

Ask for a room on the farther end of the complex. Somewhere thats not directly near the casino, pool area, etc.

I stay there 40-50 nights a year and have stayed in each of the towers. I'm generally in town for business and need a good night's sleep. Weekday's, it's really no prblem in any of the three-(3) towers, though the casino tower (original one in the middle) is the noisiest, mainly cause the rooms are less expensive and that's where most of the partiers are located. As stated above, ask for a room at the end of the hallway... that applies to any of the towers and frankly, any hotel.

The HRH Tower is by far the quietest, but also generally the most expensive. All the towers are quietest on the "mountain view" side too. The pool view side has music that starts around 9 a.m. or so and the thumping bass is easily audible in the rooms for those looking to sleep in.

Over the years, I've stayed in most major properties and IMHO, the Hard Rock gets a bad rap as being loud upstairs, it's not any different than most other Vegas hotels. It's not the Four Season's, but it is clean and a LOT of fun!

i have stayed a few times and never had a problem with it being too noisy. Although the last time i was there i was blaring music from my hrh suite.

One thing about staying at the hard rock is dont expect anyone to care if you complain about noise. If you complain they will tell you stay somewhere else.

Even if I'm going to the Joint, I'd probably just stay on the strip anyways, it's not that far, to me, I don't find Hard Rock that interesting unless you are going to party. I doubt it would be a huge issue anyways, maybe I'm naive but I would think most of the partying will be downstairs anyways.

You could potentially run into that problem at any hotel in Vegas though. If you are super concerned pick a higher end hotel, or one with out a casino that will weed out the partiers.

Well, I've read all these reports with interest...
I haven't stayed at the Rock in years, but will be there
for one night at the end of the month. 'Dukes of Sepember'
Show on a comp. No idea where they'll put me and don't
care much. Usually the comp rooms are nothing special but
I do hope it's quiet and I'll use the suggestions above.
My last stay...years ago...you could hear everything from the
room next door via the air vents in the bathroom and I did
    get a noise request!
It was a little after midnight... Chuck Berry was the music guest
on Letterman and I had the TV volume at a normal level...then the
phone rang. It was the front desk askin me to turn down
my rock 'n roll music, LOL!

Well... You know I LOVE the Hard Rock, but the Dukes concert is on a Sunday (June 24th). I'm here now and I stayed here last night... actually kinda sorry I did... I know, write that down all. I had and early meeting at 7 am today, so flew down yesterday. ReHab (Sunday) turns the place into a zoo! Gregorio... The comp rooms will be in the Casino Tower... Please make sure you get a Mountain View room. The pool view rooms rock from ReHab music till 8pm... no biggie... but then Vanity blasts tunes from 10- 4 am on the pool side. That coupled with people coming in at 4:30 am on made last night pretty bad here.

On the Mountain View side, you won't hear any of that, but you will have partners in the halls, etc. Sunday night is like no other here!!!

UPDATE... the following night (Monday) I went to bed at 10 p.m. and the place was quiet as a mouse. Vanity's only open on Fri, Sat and Sun and guess the neighbors went home or were passed-out. Not one sound the whole night. That's what I mean about it being just like most hotels in Vegas... i think it gets a bad rap for being overly noisey!

be the way to go. I'll want a good 'little rest' afte the Dukes....
I'll leave the Rock at 7am the next day to fly home, lol.
