I'm looking for some good bars that are good for hanging out in where you can here yourself talk. I know all hotels have their standard casino bars, but does anyone know of any decent bars that I'm missing? Currently, Blondies at Planet Hollywood is my favorite but I'm looking to find something else. Suggestions?

Have had lots of good times at Toby Keiths bar in Harrah's and Carnival Court. I have found the girls to be very friendlly and conversational at both. Not at all a clue feel. TK's bar has free live bands each night.

I've always enjoyed the little lounge area at the Mirage. The one that it tucked in between the poker room, bar, and sportsbook. A nice small assortment of comfy chairs and tables. And if the brunette with big hair is working (she's been there for years), you'll get great cocktail service.

Fireside Lounge, which is in the same building as the Peppermill Diner, is a pretty cool place to chill out for a few drinks and a break from "Vegas". Nice and dark, cozy, and no slot/casino noise!

I also try to stop at the little brewpub in the 4 Queens downtown. Nice little place for a craft beer or two.
