    My Trip Report

We left from Chicago on last Sunday and arrived in LV @ 10am. We golf first at Pahrump, then check in at Wynn around 5. The lines were very long; we have comped rooms, 3 nights, one free buffet for 2, and $300 free play. We get a room on the 14th floor, roof view with golf course in distance. My brother is across the hall with the same offer, and he gets a roof and strip view. Rooms are beautiful, and abundant with toiletries that are refilled daily. We don't have a resort fee with our offer, but have to pay $15.99 a day for internet because of this. The gambling is OK; not great, some small wins. We aren't big fish by any means, but like to spread the love so we get continued room offers. Some fun new machines; our free play has to be used on nonprogressive, nontelevision themed machines. I play a dollar machine and lose it all. My brother likes to play every machine in the place. He ends up winning about $800 on Michael Jackson. That was his biggest win of the trip. The Wynn is still the best on the strip IMHO. Smelled smoky in Casino, but was very busy. Drink service here was below average; not a lot of waitresses. Food is pricey. We did the buffet for dinner, just OK, and agree with posts that the seafood buffet advertised is lame. They had cold shrimp and crab legs. The other foods were good. We eat breakfast buffet, paid $21 bucks each, and find it to be very good. Lots of selections. Also ate at ZooZacrackers, really like this place. Expensive, but food is great and people working here are amazing.
We golf daily, and do a road trip to Laughlin. If you ever go, make sure to gamble at Harrahs. We did the best here of all casinos. They had Haunted House machines, along with others that you can play online on Caesars site. WE did flaming 7's, and won several small jackpots. Played long time on video poker, too. Lots of locals. Huukan was the golf course here; not much of a course, but the price was right at $19.
We check in the last 2 nights at The M. I love this place; clean, sleek, and away from the craziness of the strip. We check in at 9, and they have a room ready. My brother's is not, so we store our luggage in my room. The room stinks like B O. My husband goes to put money in the safe, and it won't let him in. We call for assistance, and someone is there within 15 min. The previous people left all their stuff in the safe. They have 2 workers remove the stuff and bag it. The workers tell my husband and brother The M is hurting. Things have been really slow. No long lines for food at the buffet, we get to walk right in with our free buffet offers. The food is good, but I like the Wynn buffet a little better. The stuffed pork and turkey here at the M are excellent. Service was poor; no one took drink orders for about 10 minutes after we were seated. I finally got up to eat. When I got back she was there. No one cleaned up the plates between trips up to food, either. We golf the lakes at Primm, then the next day, the desert. Excellent value for what you get golfing here.
The rooms at the M are getting tired looking. The bed was TOO soft, and I awoke daily with a backache and sore hips. The pillows were too puffy. I like down pillows that are firm but flat. Next time I'll bring my own! I think they need new mattresses. The end tables were covered in dust, and the linens just don't look nice. There are chips in all the tables. No toiletries will be replaced here. Rooms are very small. We had a nice view of the strip and roof, so it was fine. Love the chairs in the room, very comfortable. Also like the luggage rack in the bathroom. Best of all, the BOSE clock radio. It is awesome. I came home and bought one of my own last year I loved it so much. My brother is going to order one now too. I will keep staying here, I just hope they update the rooms a little. Free WiFi here, too, no resort fee people!!
Gambling at the M was OK, won a little more than at the Wynn. Three Kings game was the best; my brother and hubby both won $500 on free spins. I won $500 in high stakes poker, I got 5 aces. We had some other small wins, lots of losses. No big jackpots or hand pays this trip.
We went downtown the last day. Still a lot of beggars, would not feel safe at night here, and I was with 2 large men. We went to Golden Nugget and Four Queens; they are beautiful, clean, and fun to play. REALLY crowded. Had lots of fun; won $600 on 2x 5x 7 pay on dollars. That was my biggest win. At least it was right before going home! Then we go to Mirage and gamble awhile, again, share the love for those offers. We eat at Winchells on the way to the airport. It is Friday, and LV is packed!! Lots of Easter travelers. We stop at Mandalay Bay so I can make some purchases at Guiness store. Much younger vibrant crown here than where we came from.
We had a great trip; lots of laughs. Easter weekend didn't get horrible til Fri AM. LOTS of California people coming in and leaving during our stay. Cannot wait to come back!

The weather was in the 80's to low 90's, gorgeous!! It can get REALLY HOT in the summer. We have gone golfing in the summer for the last 30 years, so we're used to it; bring lots of water!
