Okay, so first off I want to thank everyone on this board for letting people know about the Landry's Card upgrades available to those staying at Golden Nugget. I was able to take advantage of the free upgrade (got a Rush tower corner suite) this past July and it was awesome to be able to check-in at the VIP area.

So fast forward to this past September (we are heading out this Friday) and I begin to book at the Golden Nugget with a promo (I believe 20 percent off each night) and I mention I am a Landry's card owner. Well, sadly they mention that I can't use both the promo and the card. Totally understandable because it says so on the fine print. I also figured maybe I got extremely lucky the last time due to an inexperienced operator, so I tried to call back today and got shot down :( Oh well, we are staying at the rush tower anyways and I believe the only difference is extra room. Anyways, I just wanted to share my experience as it seems GN is starting to crack down on taking advantage of both promos + the Landry's free upgrade. If anyone has any tips on how to get both, I'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance!

Do they not let you use the VIP Check In either on a promo? I understand about the upgrade but the VIP Check In should just be a benefit.

Thanks I didn't think about that. It's worth a shot either way since the worse that can happen is they say no.
