    My Trip Report

Will try to make this as short as possible and least whiney as possible.

Karma is a bioch!!! I should have cancelled this trip when my travel buddy had fallen, was severly injured and couldn't go this time. But I had needed a break from reality so I still decided to go for my dream of playing in the Ladies WSOP. :nono:

Flight was delayed but still arrived in decent time. Alamo car rental went smooth and had a great deal thanks to VMB member for their coupon code. On to GN and checked in with no line. All a plus. Carson Tower a bit away but a Starbucks outside elevator a huge plus.

Gambled a bit and broke even after touring the casinos on Freemont. Bed very comfortable.

    6/28

Up at 6 am, due to EST body time. Love Freemont street at that time. Like I own Vegas. Played a bit of slots, nothing good, then did the buffet. It was ok, but better as it was free with room. Then on to Satellite for Ladies WSOP. Was doing well and at 1st break, my hubby called and asked if I had been grocery shopping while in Vegas?? No?? Well someone had gotten my C.C. number and was charging a storm at Kroggers. He called the C.C. company and I went back to poker. Now I was nervous as I realised I had left my card that morning in the room and not in the safe. So distracted with this all, I was knocked out within 15 minutes of this news. To make it worse, I had only one C.C. with me and I still had to check into NYNY with a hold on the card. Well after going to the room, the card was still there but I was a hot mess. Tried to cheer on friends in tourney but just too distracted to even play the machines. :grrr: Worked out a plan with card co but still getting that straightented out. Dinner at GN cafe, and played a bit till I was just cooked. Day down $450.

    Moving day.
Prior to checking out, I always go to Players club to see if they can comp anything on my bill. They were very helpful, and gave me a check for cash back and said to go to VIP services to see what they could do for me. Their they couldn't do anything for room since it was a package but took meal and coffee off room, and offered for me to stay another night or 2, or at the very least a nice dinner. I explained I was moving hotels but would be at the Nugget a bit since the tourneys were based there. Made me very happy, was like old school Vegas again.

On to Planet Hollywood for the morning poker tourney, out early (a trend for weekend), played the nickel V/P, had such a good time, changed to .25 and hit 4A with kicker. Now back up to even for weekend again. :faint:

On to NYNY, although I had heard about problems there I decided it was a good offer and I was alone so why not. It was an email offer of 3 nights in a Spa suite, $225 freeplay and Limited food and beverage. I had booked no problems but the lady said they were having a tournament there that weekend so rooms were limited but I was able to get the King smoking I had requested.

I arrive and go into the invited guests line. I am a Platinum member. On the way I was starting to sneeze and cough. Feeling a bit off too. After waiting for long winded person in front of my, on my turn they inform me I must check in at the VIP office around the corner. Ok, fine, what ever. I am now dragging myself there, but the young lady was very nice when I exlpained the C.C. card problem with calling before it was swiped. She at that time explained they had NO spa suites left for uprade and I would get a Madison room King. Annoyed, I agreed since I was getting worse by the minute. But I did try to explain it wasn't an upgrade, it had been an offer. I asked about they free play and the food and bev and she said the limited food and bev was to charge to the room and use my express comps for it. :grrr: LOL, are you kidding?

I had to go to players desk for the free play. I did this right away as my tower was in the food area and I didn't want to have to walk all the way back. They were having the Slot Tourney right in front of the players club area. No one could hear each other with all the noise and yelling of the tourney. I explained what I wanted and showed the Lady my phone which had the email offer right on it as she couldn't hear me. She then calls someone and is yelling into the phone and explains to me that they offer they have me booked under is the spring Mlife and it only has $100 free play. Now I am fumeing. :grrr::grrr::grrr: NYNY at it again. She calls someone else and everyone is shaking their heads no.

She sends me to the Hi Limit hosts office if I would like to talk to someone. It was better as it was quiet. I explain to the Lady host and show her again my phone. She calls someone and again says I was not booked under that offer and it was a mistake offer. I explain that I am not in the mood and I expect the $225 from the offer and another $100 that was on my mlife account from my last trip. She said there was $100 but that was from them and she (from her) would get me the other $125 but that was all they would do. I told her I was furious that I had booked an offer and clearly showed everyone the email and they would not honor it. She called someone and then called someone else to see if (anywhere there was more freeplay) she could GIVE me. I explained then I would not be back again and not to even bother reviewing my play. She said she had understood. That was it.

I check the room, got my luggage, sat a bit to calm down and went back to GN to play in another tourney. Needless to say, I should have saved my money. Ended my day at NYNY blowing the freeplay in $5 slots hitting nothing. Terrible day, Terrible customer service, and Terrible machines.
    More a bit later.

I would have used my free play, checked out and went back to GN to take them up on their offer. The blatant bait and switch by NYNY would ensure I would never give them another dime.

So very sorry to hear about the runaround BS, allmine1958.
To get you there on an offer and then screw around with you, completely sucks.

Thanks for taking the time to tell your story.

I'll be watching for your updates to see how this all turns out for you.

You had every right to have been upset with that kind of treatment from NYNY. Doesn't it fall under "false advertising"?

Sorry Back in Vegas, not this time. And yes, at that point I should have showed them my back side, but I was really feeling poorly and for some reason, made myself think it would turn out well. I was in Vegas, my happy place.

6/30 I wake up and call hubby immediately to tell him what happened and get sympathy because I feel terrible. I get answering machine and this voice comes out of my mouth I have never heard. I can't talk.:confused2: I text him to make sure when he heard it, he didn't think I was being attacked. I get somewhat dressed and head for tea.

Feeling wobbly, I sit and have my tea at a machine. After 30 min, $300 tea gone so I get another one and head to room. Sleep, and go get another $300 tea. Did this one more time. Now being a Platinum card holder aka degenerate gambler, my fever also induced baseball betting as it was closer to elevator then machines. In bed on a Saturday evening, I watched baseball in Vegas. Figuring I must be close to death, I decided to die in another casino. I didn't like ths one.

So off to Luxor to play poker, wrong tram and ended at Mandalay Bay. Lost, went on to Luxor, realized I should not be at a poker table sneezing over everyone, played machines a bit and went back. Sat a $1.00 V/p and hit straight flush immediately. Minutes later, 4ok kings. Then downhill, but maybe. Walking to elevator, hit 3 7's on a blazing 7 machine first spin. But then nothing. Like the machines were baiting me too. So off for some food. It was 11 p.m. And only restaurants I saw open was pizza and Mexican. It was so loud with music, they got my order wrong but did get the soup right. Then off to bed. Down $800 for day.

This is starting to be par for the course for MGM. What in the world is going on with them? Hopefully people start speaking with their wallets.

7/1. Woke up still ill. Went down again for tea but this time got cold tabs and throat spray instead of gambling. During the night I had gotten offers from Mandalay Bay and Bellagio, which I knew were honest offers, not like this place. I returned to room, texted friends to catch up on WSOP, and rested for a bit.

Decided, I was done with pity party, (meds helped), got the car and headed to Wynn. After donation, I decided I needed fun. So I headed to Main Street Station. Royal Flusher always has fun. My turn. Found it easy, and parked in Garage. New I was feeling better when I could figure how to get the key out and didn't have to valet, so they would have to deal with it.

Omg, I loved this place. The wood floor and moldings, fantastic. On to treasure chest machines. Real coins. Wow that part got old fast. Played one machine over an hour. Not one scratch ticket. Lady got one ever 10 minutes 3 machines down. On to progressives, couple of hits and up $30. Getting ready to leave I played another .25 machine ddb and hit 4 A with kicker2. Ok cashed out at $400. Very excited. Was walking to garage and saw a double dolphin machine. I just love them. Put in a $5 bill to play a few minutes. Hit bonus after bonus, ended up cashing out $250+. What a trip. smiled all the way to the Nugget.

Found friends playing tourney, so I went to play a bit in poker room. Very bad beat, so back to machines. Not much happened but got some good play in, so went to VIP and got food voucher and had a nice dinner in Italian restaurant with a friend.

Returned to NyNy. Wanted to make sure I used all my free play, I checked it on my card. Was at a dollar double diamond. Wow, has $100, oh my finally. Played $20 and then went to the progressive V/P. went to use free play and said balance too low. Tries a slot and same thing. :grrr::grrr::grrr: went to players club desk and they said there was a glitch and I was actually minus $5. I actually folded my card in half in front of her and said I was done with them. Went directly to room.

7/2. Flight late afternoon, so I called for a late checkout. A Platinum perk, they said 1p.m. Wow, gracious of them. Packed up and left, after going again to VIP using my comps for my teas and dinner and said I was very unhappy, but she looked caring but not a word.

Stopped at Wynn again then off to airport. Flight on time. Home sick for 3 more days, and at the end all my Hubby said was " why didn't you get room service for tea and food?" Duh, room service, wish I had thought of that, that would have been great.

I agree with you auburnu008! Seems like companies in general are forgetting who the customer is. These casinos should honor their offers, or just quit giving them out.
