Do they have valet parking at the GG? Do they even have a place to park your rental car?
First time staying there & not sure what to expect.

Valet entrance is off Main St at the rear of the property

    Thank you Elvis!
We were concerned we'd have to park over at the Plaza & trek across the street.
We are trying out 2 new (to us) hotel/casinos. Luxor & Golden Gate.

The gate is fun. Love the casino. The old rooms are small but clean with very small bathrooms, the suites are very nice and fairy new. Haven't stayed at Luxor so can't comment on the rooms but we like Tacos n Tequila and some of the casino bars.

I think all parking at the GG is valet only. That kind of kills it for me as I usually rent a car and go in and out regularly so it adds to the cost in the long run, adding in the tips I can stay at the Cal for a better rate IMHO. While the new rooms are nicely done, the old rooms IMHO can be small and noisy for some people, esp if you face the FSE.

BTW, be aware that you may have to pay for parking if you park elsewhere, some casinos allow 3 hour free parking but most times you have to pay for parking if you stay longer IMHO.

At least at the Luxor, parking isn't a problem (unless it is full) and free.

The GG is one of my favorites. I preferred it before it was redone (loved the old deli in the back with the great shrimp cocktails and piano player) but it's still a Vegas classic.

I'm with you on that one.
The piano player was great! Loved sitting there listening to them play while I had my shrimp cocktail.
The deli had fantastic corned beef & pastrami sandwiches. But sometimes I felt like the soup natzi worked the line there.

I use the valet at the Gate every time I am downtown. It's easy to get in and out of, I never have to wait more than two minutes for them to retrieve my vehicle and they really appreciate that $5 tip. Drop the car off, short walk thru the casino and you are out on the FSE.
