Hope I'm posting this in the right place...
I'm booked on this offer from Gold Coast for the first 3-day weekend in January.

I've never played slots there, and haven't played them anywhere for decades, so I'm not sure why they would send this to me, but they did.
I booked my trip 'last-minute' and this offer comps Fri-Sat-Sun room-nights, so I took advantage.
My question is this: There is no slot-tourney fee I have to pay on this. How do these things work & how can the Gold Coast possibly make money on such 'tournaments'?

I know VMB has plenty of slot players, and I'm hoping one of y'all can help me understand what I need to do on this thing....I wonder if I can just skip it (and if I do,will my comp be voided).
If I end up playing in this thing, how on earth does one "win" a slot tournament?

    Thanks in advance, guys...

Slot Tournaments are the same as slots...just plain luck. You go to the machine and hit the button for the required time (10 Min?) for maybe two or three sessions. Your score is compared to others. Usually winners receive free slot play. You can register and then not show up. The casino does not care. They achieved their goal by getting you to the casino for three days! But, if you decide to play...good luck!

Unless it cramps your schedule you should show up and be a de-gen for a bit. You never know. On the other hand tapping that button over and over can wear a guy out! Good luck!

You should definitely play in the tournament. I received a random offer to play in a slot tournament about 10 years ago from the Hard Rock and left there with $20k (minus $100 tip for each person that worked to put it on).
