Try South Point. Their sale might still be on. Their 24-hour or late-night diner specials could save you $100 over a couple of days.

    What are your dates?

Cosmo has a great deal going on hotwire in May & June; prices between $50-75/nt (plus $25/nt resort fee).
It is a pet friendly 5* hotel on the south strip.
We usually stay at Ballys & are quite happy there, but we tried a great deal at Cosmo in January & LOVED it. This is a great price above if it fits your dates.

Gold Coast and Orleans have nice rooms and a free shuttle to the strip.
Bally's has some great deals at times, don't forget about the resort fees.
None of them are large for these hotels. Good Luck.

I didnt read every post so this might be a repeat. The cheapest place I have stayed at that was decent was Samstown. Last Jan we payed $15.00 per night . The resort fee is $4.50 ish a day. Nice clean rooms. Nicely decorated. Plenty to do on site. Decent buffet. See thier website.
A block away is Eastside cannery with a 10.00 champagne brunch on sunday. See thier website. Across the street is Longhorn casino with a restaurant with deals. The best deal is thier Longhorn breakfast special $4.99. 2 eggs , get the bacon, camp potatoes and toast.

We are doing Vegas in September on a budget also.(Also getting married, using the Wedding Wagon for a great price of 129.00) Booked Flamingo for mid week in Sept for 41.00 a night (booked before March 1 so we avoided the new resort fee). Got a code for that price from smartervegas.com. Ordered the American Casino guide, there's GREAT food and show coupons in it. So we will eat pretty cheaply, and going to go to the Riveria for the 2 free comedy club tickets that the ACG book has. Lots of freeplay coupons... Also, have been playing myvegas and have already gotten 2 Love tickets, and working on more. Since your trip is a few months out, if you haven't already, start playing that and you'll be able to get a few freebies. We will also be doing the buffet of buffets starting one night around 8pm. So for the 2 of us to eat 2 dinners, 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, and snacks that will be less than $100.
This trip will be the funnest/least expensive wedding trip around! haha

That's a very reasonable week to go, you should be able to get something decent.

Here's a good deal at Luxor, $64 for a tower room (don't get a pyramid room). I just stayed there in a tower room, REALLY nice, day and night compared to the pyramid, the place is somewhat updated, the rooms are refreshed, even though they still are a little tacky, it was very clean. For the price I think that's a much better property than some of the others mentioned like Flamingo and Stratosphere .

Or Monte Carlo, $56. That place is super boring to me, but it's decent, and it's a great location being connected to CityCenter

Or if you are REALLY looking for a deal. Excalibur $26.

    https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=promo&pid=EXC&show=rates&code=X40913N&kbid=335345&sub=YDYFG!W!X40913N

You can't stay anywhere on the strip without a resort fee, so factor that in. For 5 nights that's quite a bit.

Also yes, check Priceline and Hotwire, if you aren't too picky on where you stay. Check www.betterbidding.com to get a better idea of the rooms you could win. But honestly, I think the promo code rates will be cheap enough that week it won't really help you to use Priceline.

You can use this offer from the plaza http://hosted.verticalresponse.com/286975/3024347b1d/1558530529/37539cfeb4/ you can stay 17th-23rd of November for $205 or you can also book at the Cal or Main Street Station for $220. I've stayed at all of these properties multiple times and have always had a great experience. The Plaza has a low resort fee, but Cal and MSS don't have one at all. Hope this helps.

You may not be able to use this - but military can stay on Nellis for dirt cheap prices and then hit the Strip or anywhere and come back to a clean room. Not glamorous at all, but compared to resort fee's and then some of the horror stories from hotel robberies and cleanliness, a pretty decent trade. Only issue is that the Taxi can't drive on base so it's about a 100 meter walk/stumble/crawl from gate to hotel...

Check out the Golden Nugget (Downtown)....the place is nice and reasonable. Or - you can check out The Plaza - it's been rennovated the last two years and it's got good reviews (and cheaper than GN).

    Hello CP904211
I just found some great deals on Groupon for hotel stays.

The Las Vegas Hilton had an incredible deal, 35.00 a night
Polo towers also had an incredible deal 49.00 for a studio suite
and Palace Station had a ggod deal starting from 14.00 a night.

These would really be good options and free up some cash for other things. Polo Towers is on the strip I think. and the Las Vegas Hilton is right behind the strip on convention center drive.

    Check out Groupon.:)

Honestly ive stayed at the circus circus (the towers that have the elevators closest to check in) and that room is really nice. I never heard the "loud kids" that everyone seems to complain about.

Downtown go to the El Cortez Cabana Suites... REALLY NICE ROOMS and very cheap

$75 is a decent budget for mid-November. The only challenge might be the Friday night of your stay, the rest of your stay falls during cheaper "weeknight" rates.

I think you should shoot for staying at a 4-star type of property on the Strip. No need to slum it or be somewhere remote. Monte Carlo, Bally's, and Luxor are three affordable options that come to mind. It's too early for most of the promotions, but check out a hotel deal site like lasventions.com.

You can stay at Monte Carlo for $77/Night which includes taxes and resort fees. This deal also gets you 2 tickets each for 2 shows of your liking at MGM Hotels. So if you're a show person then this can be a great promotion for you.

    Choose from these shows:

    Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil
    Love by Cirque du Soleil
    Brad Garrett's Comedy Club
    Terry Fator: Ventrioloquism in Concert
Blue Man Group at Monte Carlo
    Jabbawockeez
    Criss Angel Believe
    Tournament of Kings
    KA by Cirque du Soleil
    Zumanity by Cirque du Soleil

You have to book your flight and your hotel stay through the Monte Carlo to get the two show tickets.

The Gold coast and the Orleans have nice rooms and a shuttle to the strip.
Bally's is reasonable and nice but you have to add a $18 resort fee to their reasonable rates.

My bad. There was another link I saw on MC's website that had that deal only when you bought airfare.

    Thanks for the correction!
