Go for Two Beach, stay for the pool?

I've stayed at Palazzo and Venetian several times in the past... most recently in May. This September we will be staying on the south strip for our first time. However, we may still visit Tao Beach during the week while it has free cover. My question is, and something I have not noticed before, is it possible to stay in the pool area after you are done with Tao Beach? Tao Beach is in the middle of the pool area, which you have to walk through to get in and out. Unless there is another entrance it seems easy enough for anyone visiting Tao Beach to just set up shop in the large pool area if they so please.

Anyone try this? Any other pool set up like this?

(Just a note: I am aware that sneaking in is wrong and pools are for hotel guests.)

Locals were doing this everyday, when I was staying at the Venetian during a weekend. They would say they were going to Tao Beach to get past the pool entrance, then hang out at the pool instead. In fact, many of the male locals hang out by the Tao Beach entrance/exit to gawk at and game the women entering and exiting Tao Beach.

Think of it as Jersey Shore - Vegas Edition.
