It's our first time this this hotel for the busy holiday weekend and could only get a Carson Tower room. Is there any particular side of the Carson I should ask for. I'll ask for a higher floor of course.

Strip view rooms are my favorite.

To me - it really doesn't matter, since the views are pretty poor all around. BUT - the rooms are very nice.

I prefer the rooms facing away from Fremont Street, it cuts down on the noise from the band/DJ noise at the West side of the canopy as well as the light show. However, it may not be an issue if you are planning on arriving back to the room late. Try to snag a high floor room to avoid the parking garage view.

    Rooms

Strip view rooms face south. Fremont Street rooms face north. If you get a room in the Carson Tower way, way down the hall from the elevators all the way to the south end, you'll get both a strip view and loudspeaker announcements from the women's jail just south of the GN (a bit annoying).
