Last trip was August of last year. Stayed 5 nights at GN north tower. Gambled at most of the Downtown places. GN sent us a reasonable offer, so I booked another 5 nights first week of March, 2015 , about $90 TTL per day, IIRC.

Fremont sends me a 4 day free stay, 24 meals and $100 free play, $30 or some such for the 5th day.

Canceled the GN and went for the Fremont. Will I be disappointed?

Also, the 24 free meals, all Fremont Buffet I assume, or can they be used at other Boyd places?

If you use the amenities at GN, you may be disappointed - but if you just go from place to place to gamble and only want your room to sleep, it could work. I stay at the Fremont but it is certainly not the GN.

    24 meals?

If you're solo, you'll be just fine with the Fremont. I would also assume that your 24 free meals were buffets, assuming two people in your room, (4 nights x 3 meals x 2 guests = 24).
Oh, and I wouldn't worry too much about your 5th night.
Pretty sure you'll be able to have that comped when you check out.

(If you are traveling with a friend, unless it is someone you are intimate with or very good friends with, you may find things a bit too cramped at the Fremont.)

Edit-to-add: I would still do Fremont over Nugget. You can always get an adjoining room if you're going with a buddy. That would still be pretty cheap...and very-likely comped, depending on how much you & they play.

I was at fremont and I really liked it. I got upgraded to their "suite" which included a chair... lol but the rooms were clean and nice. So if you sleep or watch tv in room and gamble I would for sure do fremont

I like the GN Rush tower rooms because they are very nice AND have great bathrooms. Not many of the downtown properties even come close to the GN Rush tower bathrooms. With their new resort fee I might be headed elsewhere though.
