    Hey all,

I've got a room booked for 2 nights at the Golden Nugget...
    But dates i've done are 25th - 27th May

I'm british, but have read that, that weekend is your memorial weekend? which i guess is like our Bank holiday weekend, ie: you get Monday off work, so lots of people get away for the weekend, prices go up and its busy everywhere!! :D :D

Is it safe to say that, it will be a crazy weekend, from Friday right through to Monday, busy for the 3 nights ?????

What worries me slightly, is that i have booked direct with the hotel the Saturday and Sunday night...... Also read its a Punk Rock weekend at the GN ?
Looking on the GN website, all rooms are showing sold out, so am wondering could there be a slight chance when we arrive, they say all rooms are gone ?
Or a good chance they say all we got left is the Suites ! :D :D :D (i wish!)
Am guessing most people will do the weekend, or the usual Friday - Sunday , hence all rooms gone ?!
Am also hoping they allow us to check in around 11am or maybe just after 12 ?

Memorial Day weekend is always busy in Vegas, yes.

If you booked directly with the hotel, your room will almost certainly be there. They don't tend to overbook. You may not get the exact room that you want (for example, if you need two queen beds, you may get stuck with a king.)

On a busy weekend, early check-in is going to be hit and miss, so there's just no way to say until you get there. If you really want early check in and are willing to pay for it, then you can usually get it. If you want it for free, it's a gamble.

i'm flying in for the punk rock bowling festival, shit's gonna get crazy. they also have free pool parties from noon-3ish all weekend at various hotels, so keep an eye out for that if you want to catch or avoid them. www.punkrockbowling.com

Will be there that weekend as well. I booked directly and have a Landrys Card for VIP check-in. The rate I got for the 24-27 was 50% cheaper than the advertised rates right now for that weekend for a regular room (I booked the Rush Tower). We're going for the Fleetwood Mac concert at the MGM arena, which should be a blast. Its going to be a filthy weekend, several stars are booked for that weekend.. and with the punk rock festival at the GN its just going to add to the mayhem!!

I'll be in town also, leaving early Sunday the 26th, but will be there all the prior week. Staying at 4Q & El Cortez. If anyone wants to hook up for a beer PM me, and we can work something out. Maybe at the Boar bar at MSS?
