Just made reservations at the GN dec 1-6. As an FYI to anyone interested, there is a web special of 10$ off per night, from 47 to 37. Then i upgraded for $20 to the gold tower for a price of $57 per nite. Essentially upgraded for $10 per nite. Will b my 1st stay down town. Mainly cause wife and son have stayed there before and he likes the pool with the slide that goes thru the aquarium.

How exactly did you do the $10 per night upgrade? And was it at the same time online or over the phone? I thought it was usually $20-30 per night to upgrade...

Went to their website, and called their phone number. Rooms were 47 per nite. mentioned the 10 dollars off special, and yes they said it would then be 37 per nite. Then I asked if I could still upgrade for 20 per nite and they said I could. So the end result is a 10 $ upgrade. When I get there I,ll try the 20 dollar trick, :)

Ahhhh...ok so it was the usual $20 per night upgrade fee. You we're just focusing on your bottomline if you paid full rate. Wanted to be clear. I, too, get those emails all the time with their current 'special' rate. Hope to get out there soon..
