    My Trip Report

Jennie turns 40 and she's having a party at her husbands 20,000 square foot, fifteen bedroom, built in 1904 castle in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Ain't no way I'm missing this bonanza, so I flew into Logan on THU Night.

Rented the worst car I've ever driven. Some box Jeep manufactured that giddy's up to 50 MPH in roughly :30.

Should have rented a horse and carriage instead. Could have made better time.

Since THU Night, all 20 of us have pretty much just been drunk. I haven't fallen down the stairs yet and I fell into an alcohol-induced coma from about 1 AM - 2:30 AM this morning when I (somehow) managed to find my way to my room.

The grass courtyard area is the only area of this place none of us have been hammered in yet...but there's a clam steam-party there tonight, so that will change in about two hours.

Had a dance party in this room THU evening (from what I remember). Lots of Biggie Smalls and perhaps some Flock of Seagulls, I think.

You can get lost in this place. I got lost yesterday morning. It's a lot like one of those Scooby Doo houses with sliding bookcases and trap doors.

Mr. Pat, owner, lived here from 1992 - 2004 and now he just rents it out.

it can be all yours for just $60,000 a month, kiddos.

20 minutes from my house. Great area. Too bad you weren't around for the greasy pole challenge at St. Peter's Fiesta.

Let's get this St Peters Pole Fiesta thing up & running, Irish.

Amazing I haven't crashed down this 1.5" wide spiral staircase that takes me to and from my room in the attic.

Love the picture of the staircase.

The best rooms are either in the attic or in the bowels of the basement.

Jennie and this collection of acquaintances are friends of mine from Wisconsin. Known many of them for 20 years.

So one of the most neglected Trip Reports ended this AM as I flew out of Logan at Noon.

Up until 4:45 this morning drinking with the hosts.

Cops showed up once. A neighbor aS at the gate this AM thinking the owner wasn't there & his tenants were destroying the place. Somehow knew two people jumped into the water at 2...and for whatever reason seemed to care that they did.

I forgot about the Lobsterman in town who was high on some sort of illegal substance and didn't like the look of Mike....said he wanted to "eat his face off of his face."

Told him it was a really bad idea, even though people are starting to do that here on the east coast.

    Sounds like "The Perfect Storm"!
These folks must be from the wilder side of Wisconsin (South of Eau Claire).
    Thanks for sharing!

Waterford (The Pride of the Midwest), Milwaukee & Pewaukee.

And Richard, there are plenty of animals up in the Eagle River area. I saw a guy hammer a carp into a tree up there once.
