First vacation without our children aged 6, 6 and 3. Any suggestions on what we could bring them back from Vegas? Their excited to be camping with their grandparents while we're on vacation. Not looking for toys or clothing, rather something only unique to Vegas.

    Any suggestions?

when my niece and nephews were in the 6 year old age range, they thought playing cards from the casinos were pretty cool. And when I explained why some corners were cut off or there were holes in middle of cards, they really liked that. They liked playing FISH with their casino cards.

I am sure you could find something for everyone at that large gift shop at corner of Sahara and strip. They use to have pillows in shape of gambling chip, nephews liked those, don't know if they still make them.

Vegas is about gambling, alcohol and sex. What I mean is, those are the takeaway images. There's no Goofy or Lady Liberty.

Why don't you buy a national or state parks pass and treat your kids to some more time enjoying our immense natural heritage and bounty?

There is a great kids' souvenir store in the lower level of Bally's. Lots of Vegas-related toys and clothes. Good prices, too.

I second the deck of cards idea. My parents brought them home to my brother and me when I was probably seven or eight. We loved playing with them! You could get them each a deck from different place so that they could keep them easily separate.

There are a million places to buy souvenirs there, so I'm sure you will be inundated with choices. Have fun!

The cards are a good idea, IMO. My dad brought me back a couple packs when I was a kid and I thought it was pretty cool – especially the hole punched through the middle. I think I would have loved to have some casino chips as a kid as well. I don’t know – maybe your kids are too young for that? In a few years, though, I bet they would think they are cool and want to show them off to all their friends.

I can read. lol Still what I'd want. Trinkets are forgotten immediately. I don't recall much of anything that my dad or parents picked up as an "obligation gift" be that from NOLA or Boston or wherever ... OK, I remember the painted turtle from SF that had but a short life. We still chatter all the time about when we were at Chaco Canyon or Yosemite or Rushmore. :peace:

Decks of cards from the casinos you stayed at (or dice, but for a 3 year old that may be a swallowing concern).

I went to the M&M store and got a cool numbered musical snowglobe and T-shirts for my grandson [3] and a onesie for the newborn. When my kids were small I brought them back the toy slot machines & cards. They came in handy on rainy days at the lake. I also got them ornaments for the Xmas tree. If you have girls they would probably like the beads that alot of casino's hand out. I am sure anything you bring back will be well rec'd. Have a great trip.

When our kids were that age we would bring them back a stuffed animal or two sporting a "vegas" shirt or something...my son liked magic so we brought him several of the magic tricks home (easy ones) from the Houdini shops that are scattered about Vegas...cute souvenirs from the M&M store (so much in there you might even be overwhelmed by the choices)...mini play slot machines...etc... Now that they are older we do the cards and pens and stuff which get swallowed up by their rooms abd forgotten quite quickly. That's why we don't spend much on them there anymore. The ABC Stores are great too for cheap Vegas gifts. There's one inside Miracle Mile and also at the Fashion Show mall. Heck, you could even find something at the HUGE Walgreens accross from City Center.

When we did bring the kids in 09, the huge toy store at the Forum Shops was still open (I think it's closed now?...not sure) my son, who was 10 at the time chose one of the cool looking puppets as his souvenir of choice. It was a puppet of a midevil knight guy....not really something we would've found at our local KB toys so we thought it was a good choice. My daughter's choice? She wanted a hoodie from the GAP inside the Miracle Mile shops....

I usually bring back gummy chips (edible gaming chips) or candies in a Las Vegas tin both of which can be found at the airport. Gummy dice or lolliipop dice from Walgreens. But I have also done the roman solider sheld, sword, and helmet set after a particularly good trip.
