Just dreaming about my trip. I have never played that giant machine between Paris and Ballys. So many people throw money into it for fun and to take pictures. I rarely see anyone hit on it, so It must have terrible odds set for it. I bet they make a small fortune on it by the end of the year.

It's likely set at the GCB minimum. The larger machines that take up more real estate (at least on the gaming floor) are often tighter to make up for the addition square footage. Rent if you will. This machine, although not on the floor per se, is very tourist trappy and would be an ideal candidate for Nevada minimum payback.

You likely won't notice a difference in the short run anyhow.

I love that slot machine, but there is always a line, so I never get to throw my buck in for good luck. I never expect to get any money out of it.

I dunno about "likely" since 75% is godawful low and is illegal in nearly every other state, but I agree it is (was??) most likely set lower than any other machine on the floor. I am guessing I'm wrong, but i didn't see the machine on my last couple of trips. I don't think I've ever seen it working either.

We got a "hand pay" on it for about $120 (that's how they pay out). We both put like a twenty in it and just planned on playing it out and taking a picture with it. Next to last spin and it locked up. We thought it was broken, but then the lady came with the payment. One of my favorite slot moments.

I love playing giant slots. The ones at ballys/paris never pay off.

The ones at NYNY do pay off though so of you are around there play those. They have a couple of them around the casino.

Wonder if there is still one at Golden Nugget?

Damn is every cashout is a hand pay? Now I believe it's likely 75% return with a fairly low hit frequency.

I had a friend who's dad would give him $20 and told him to play it in "the biggest slot machine" you can find,
    '
'I always toss a $5 in the one at NyNY when I can, I usually pull the handle over my shoulder like a jackass...

I use that slot as a meeting point. I have never been tempted to play it as I have never seen anyone win anything while I have been there waiting for the rest of my group.

As Tringlomane mentioned, the giant slot just outside the ballys casino is gone, hasn't been there for at least a year or more.

I think so, if I remember the lady correctly. And yeah, I think it's gone, too. We played it during our first trip to Vegas in March 2013, and quite honestly don't remember it being there last year. Though both trips we did spend more time at MGM properties and Downtown, so not completely sure.
