Hound, I think you cannot go wrong with taking the GF to Mirage's dolphin habitat and Secret Garden (if she is slightly inclined to that type of thing).

If you read some of my older posts, you will note I am a huge fan of Red Rock Canyon. This if you have a rental car. Couple it with a lunch at Red Rock Casino and it makes for a nice non-gaming afternoon.

I you want to present yourself as a man-about-town, take her to China Town for lunch or pay for her nails or pedi at one of the inexpensive Asian storefronts (not sure of your budget and, again, you need a rental car).

Take her to Red Square in Mandalay Bay for an overpriced vodka drink but it is a cool story, pun intended because he bar is made of ice, for her to take home to her friends. If you do this in the evening, you can parlay it with a stop at Eyecandy, Mix or House of Blues.

Let us know if you plan to go downtown, I have a good number of ideas...

I always take the first times to check out The Cosmopolitan / CityCenter (because I think it's really impressive!) have a drink in the Chandelier, also a trip to the Venetian/Palazzo, because of it's impressive size, do some shopping and walk around. Bellagio fountains. I'd go to miX or Foundation room, to see the view. Shopping at the Forum Shops @ Caesars or Miracle Mile shops. Oh, and I totally had fun at the Minus 5 ice bar, it's so cheesy, so vegas haha.

I'd do some digging and find some great restaurants. There are some many options, some are better than others. i'd do lunch at Border Grill (mandalay), Mon Ami Gabi (Paris), and a brunch at Bouchon (Venetian).

I don't really have any "secrets" just remember they haven't been to all these places. I like to go to the most impressive hotels with new comers they are always in such awe. Even if you don't buy anything, it's cool to see it all.

    Some great ideas.

But, for a couple on a $1 a beer at Casino Royale budget, the Spa could be a real budget buster.

Anyways, just walking the strip, in and out of hotels, sights, etc is so very exciting for a first timer. Don't under-rate that.

Don't forget the Bellagio conservatory. When I took a gf to Vegas, I needed a crowbar to get her out of there.

    The fountains....don't forget the fountains.

Its really hard for someone NOT to be impressed with Vegas in one way or another.

Just walking through the different casinos to see what each has to offer can be fun.

Don't forget to let her have the window seat on the plane(assuming you're flying in). Always an awesome sight, especially at night to look down at the city when flying in for first time. Gets the blood flowing before your off the plane!
