My next trip isn't until Oct and I don't know if I can hold out that long.

Pricing SWA Milwaukee to LAS, non-stop and every flight in August is currently priced at $235, one way. I have to think about that one.

TimSpeed et al, I forgot we are going to Madison, WI for the Labor Day weekend, so no MSS meetup for us.

I had the August itch too and booked a SWA flight for later that month. Cost me 25k Rapid Rewards point round-trip from RI to LV. Glad I booked it several weeks ago.

    Make the plunge! :evillaugh

I've been planning a big trip in August for a year. I've been watching SW religiously out of Milwaukee. Omg. Finally booked Midway @ $117 OW. Fingers crossed Milwaukee drops and we can switch over, but those rates haven't moved in at least five months. Actually they are inching up. I've looked at Allegiant out of Rockford and even Spirit out of OHare. I hate Midway. Also, keep an eye on Frontier out of OHare, every so often their rates drop to $39 OW. Friends of ours just picked up that rate for October, she called while I was driving. By the time I got home, it had already changed to $109 OW. They are all over the place. I have to find an app that notifies me when it drops instead of checking it all the time, lol.

SWA hasn't been doing us any favors lately out of MRE or MDW. Though, I don't like OHare, I do like Frontier's $39 fares and have been jumping on those. Best option for me is Rockford and Allegiant can usually be had for about $220 RT.
