Been a silent watcher for a while now and as I have now actually booked my trip for October thought I would do a quick post to say hi. Wife and I have been to Vegas every 3 years or so (with occassional extras) about 6 times now! The kids and cash, other trips, etc stop me coming more often - I would be at least 4 times a year if I could despite the 10 hour flight from the UK! I like to try a different hotel or two every time, whilst I like a trip downtown for at least 20 or so hours, I prefer to stay on the strip. So far Mandalay Bay, Paris, Luxor, Bellagio, Sahara, IP, Excalibur....this trip is 3 days MGM and 4 days Monte Carlo. As you can see, the hotels are not at the top end, it's really just a place to lay your head, I would rather have a bit more gambling stash. Not a high roller by any means, we share a pot roughly daily which is 'entertainment' cash and semi-happily lost! Not big foodies, one show a trip (really don't get the whole Cirque fascination) and generally love a drink, a people watch, a casino trawl (like to pop in to as many as we can) and a good catch up with Mrs WHU with no time limits, no work, no kids and essentially no rules. Already massively excited about October, some very loose trip vague objectives in mind but as with any Vegas trip, it will be take each day and experience as it comes. Hope to add some form of trip report, alcohol consumption and general debauchery allowing! Thanks VMB for keeping me going over a long winter as I saved for my trip, I read the TR's every day to keep me going!
