On the countdown to my summer trip :woohoo: 9 nights :woot:
I'm at Cosmo for my first 4 nights, 3 comped and my last 3 are comped at the Aria
So I have 2 nights in between to book a hotel that I still havent decided on. I can get a comped room at most CET props excluding CP & Nobu and was thinking of PH. However I'm leaning towards Vdara simply because Ive never tried it BUT I would have to pay for those 2 nights :cry:hate paying for rooms :rolleyes2:
So my question is, if I'm paying to stay at Vdara and hoping to get it covered on a back end comp where should / could I play to get the best benefit? I know I would play at Aria but would ANY MGM casinos have an impact on obtaining a back end comp at Vdara?

Not 100% sure but I believe Aria is your only chance. Good thing is that it's the best at the same time. :)

A host at Aria can help. I talked to a host over there one day after staying at Vdara. Said he would comp off half my room/charges. Go to Vdara desk, they have nothing. I was stupid, real stupid. Did not get name of the host.

Another time the host at Aria did not even want to talk to me.

Aria hosts are tight. Really tight.

Got my entire 3 night stay at VDara comped. I played both at Aria and Bellagio. Can't say for sure if both or just Aria play was used to make that happen. It was an Aria host who did it.

We always use the Aria Host on Duty for our Vdara comps. And, I agree with nostresshere, Aria hosts are tight and, in our experience, have gotten tighter over the past two years.

My 3 night comp at Aria has already been sorted by my host there, I stay there everytime I go now.
Just wondering what he would say about me staying at the Vdara and paying for it when he's already covered me at the Aria
The Idea in my head was I can stay at the Vdara and not have any "pressure" to play off room charges for a couple of nights but if I did play at MGM props this could be offset against my room costs.:goofy:
Would feel odd going to see my host at the Aria asking him to look at my play to cover my Vdara stay just before I checked into the Aria on a 3 night comp

I see this often regarding "pressure". I don't get it. If they will not comp it, then so be it. A few hundred dollars in room charges vs playing towards a $1000 loss to make the host happy. Kiss my a$$.

Don't feel odd asking your host for anything. It's none of their business when you arrive in town or where you stay.

Actually it is just that, their business. :D Jokes aside, I agree.

I get it and good point.
To the OP,I have had 4 nights SkySuites comped by my host up front and at the last minute changed my schedule and flew out a day or 2 early.
Stayed at VDara, booked on their website. While there, did some play at Aria and B.
Called my host and he took care of the room at VDara.
