Having just come back from G2E I thought I'd give an update on some table related developments.

    1. Sci Gaming's trademarks on many games have expired so now other vendors can offer these more cheaply. This could mean some casinos that didn't want to pay higher licensing costs might now bring on some of these games.

    2. This also means that Sci Gaming is now introducing a variety of new table games which they will have licensing control over. I'm sure these will start to appear in casinos all over the place in the next while.

    3. There are other vendors introducing new blackjack and poker game variations.

    4. Many new progressive side bets were present at the show, including another baccarat progressive, which haven't really taken off, but have a lot of potential.

    5. Gamblit's skill based gaming booth was packed for the whole show. They had a few games which seemed more likely arcade games where players would each put up money into a pot that is won based on the outcome of the game? One game had players claiming cards that flipped up from a pile by quickly pressing a button, trying to build a good hand.

I know Caesar's has a deal with Gamblit to start rolling out some games, but I'm not sure if anyone else is currently doing it.
