Just came to mind, probably the most fun thing I've ever seen was while eating at the noodle place at Palazzo - there was a bank of WMS machines accross from our table (it's open to the casino) and the cutest little lady was playing Bier Haus. The machine was hot, hitting bonus after bonus. Every time the bonus music started she would start dancing in her seat and she was sooo excited. She was the cutest thing. I sat there and watched her the whole time (she never saw me) it really brought a smile to my face!

Any funny things you've seen people do while playing?

My mom always rubs the screen on slots if she is having bad luck lol..I don't believe in doing that. I think it makes it worse!

I always get a good laugh at slot players who get all excited (clapping, cheering, jumping up and down, telling their friend to come over and check out their win) and I peek over and they won like $8.50

I know someone that if they get three spins in a row with nothing they cash out and move to a new machine.

I also know someone that will NEVER split aces or double on a 10

    both funny to me

    My funny slot play

I, too gently rub the screen for good luck - but my husband thinks I'm crazy when I first do a little twirl before sitting down at my favorite blazing seven slot - just one twirl and then I sit down to play......works every time....not....
But I have hit the mini progressive a bunch of times along the way - so it doesn't hurt even if I look a little silly :wiggle::wiggle::wiggle:

I always laugh when I see men playing Sex in the City. One time two guys were sitting together playing and hit the shoe bonus. One of them starts clapping and says "yay shoes!" Man after my own heart:kiss:

One of the oddest things I've witnessed on many occasions on my trips to The Western when it was still open:

There was a bank of reel slots along the wall that separated the diner from the casino that still accepted pennies and paid out in pennies. The locals would tape up pieces of the las vegas sun, and arrange them with tape over certain parts on the reels so they could only see certain parts of the wheel when they stopped. I've probably visited the western 50+ times when it was open, and I've seen this ritual almost as many times, on the exact bank of machines.

They're all giddy because they just won 850 credits! Almost every new player forgets they are on a penny machine, and that they need to throw a decimal point in there somewhere. :poke:

I remember on my last trip this random guy pounded his chest and howled like a dog very loud when we were playing baccarat. I was cracking up. There are many characters in vegas.

My brother-in-law puts a little miniature Godzilla figure on the slot machine that he's playing. Every once in a while he picks it up and shakes it at the screen. Cracks me up every time!

There was this elderly craps player that would shoot the dice then look the other way, depending on the stickman's call to find out what was rolled. Where I play there are a lot of Asian women dealers who are not loud when they call out the roll. Guy always ends up asking the fellow next to him what was rolled.

A saw a guy once show the machine the middle finger. You had to be there. I had to walk away a bit before I could finally bust out laughing.

Funniest thing I've seen is my DW (and me!) playing an old Dean Martin machine. This thing was hitting bonus after bonus. And when it would go into one we started singing with it. Not quietly either, soon we had 6-8 people watching us and laughing with us. Other funniest thing was again my DW @ Greektown playing a 3 reel 3 coin quarter machine with 2 of her friends. I was just coming back from a table and there is this small group watching the 3 of them. I heard loud screams and asked the big fella in front of me what they had hit. He turned and with a laugh said, "A single cherry!!" I went back to the tables. My wife is a blast to gamble with.

When I play the video slots (Mystic Unicorn usually), if the first two columns come up with all the same symbols, I start to hit the third column and yell "Auntie", if the third column comes up the same symbols as the first two, I start to hit the fourth and yell "Auntie" even louder, and if the fourth matches the first three, I hold my hand over the fifth column, close my eyes and hope to hear the machine say "OUTSTANDING"

I am sure people around me think im pretty funny (or weird)

I normally try to keep myself to myself but after a few drinks I have been known to cry out the odd "Hee-Haw" on the machine of the same name or "Moo" when playing Invaders when I hit the bonus, I'm sure those passing at the time think I'm some sort of looney-tunes but hey it's Vegas and you gotta let yourself go a bit once in a while :)

Our first trip we did that, won something like $60 on a penny machine and that wave of disappointment when you realise its not hundreds/thousands of $$ is not to be forgotten, it seems funny now but it wasn't at the time (I am sure somehow my wife thought it was my fault ):evillaugh

Yeah we do little chair dances sometimes. Other times I'll say $20? Is that all? I don't get out of bed for less than $100! But the funniest thing we
do is if one of us hits something we try and block the screen so the other can't see it. It's become a running joke for us and kinda funny.

Touching the screen is one thing. Blessing it is another. But when I see someone drawing a Pentagram on there I get a little freaked out haha!
I was playing Hot Roll once and this guy next to me had to roll the dice and he would Lick His Fingers before touching the screen everytime! GROSS!

When I hit the spin bonus on Wheel of Fortune I always wait to press spin after the 7th beep.
