If I am not checking any luggage, does it make any difference if terminal 1 or 3 is used to access the D gates for an outgoing Frontier flight? Still a little confused on this.

Isnt terminal 3 smaller? thus less lines at security? so wouldnt you want to do through terminal 3?

Terminal 3 is smaller and houses the international airlines, but it also allows access to the D gates via the Red Line tram. Alaska, Frontier, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Sun Country, United, and Virgin America also use T3 for ticketing and check in. Combine all of those airlines into one security check point and it can be a major pain in the ass.

Terminal 1 has separate security check points for each gate, so generally smaller lines for security.

Plus, terminal 1 is easier to get to.

I'm still waiting for a definitive answer. Can a person (not checking luggage) access terminal 1 security with a Frontier boarding pass and take the tram to the D gates?
