which restaurant has the best french onion soup ?
No help on your question. But baked french onion is my fav. One of our local restaurants provided a small scissors with each bowl to trim the cheese and make it easier to eat. I loved that.
The French Onion Soup at Mon Ami Gabi is spot on.
Le Village buffet does French Onion soup as does Mon Ami Gabi and Cafe Ile St Louis. The last time I had it at MAG it was awful. The cheese crouton had sunk into the soup and was a soggy mess.
I had some at The Henry at Cosmopolitan and it was very good.

I second Mon Ami Gambi -- the best one I've had to date and french onion is my go to soup
Dh loved the one at Mon Ami
Ditto MAG...definitely the best I have ever had and I have tried them all over the US & in a couple of foreign countries..... it tastes like it maybe has sherry in it....a must on every trip!
You guys are making me wish I was eating lunch at Mon Ami Gabi tomorrow.
thank you all
Gordon Ramsay Steak and GR Grill both have very good Onion Soup!
Best French Onion Soup I have ever had was at Prime in Bellagio!
Mon Ami Gabi, hands down.
Strip Steak at Mandalay Bay. Add a caesar salad and a couple of glasses of wine - terrific meal!
