Just booked two trips for LV in 2015. My second one is from the Tueseday before Thanksgiving until the following Wednesday. Just kind of curious if there are a lot of good turkey and traditional Thanksgiving fare options available downtown on Thanksgiving Day? Also, are any of the businesses (ABC, Walgreens etc.) open on Thanksgiving Day? Thanks in advance for your input......

My wife and I have spent several Thanksgivings (and Christmas holidays) downtown. We love it. The casinos/restaurants do business as usual on Thanksgiving. But, some of the restaurants close earlier than the norm. Some of the little "Mom & Pop" gift shops (and small cafes) are sporadic.

Most of the casino diners will have Thanksgiving plates. The nicer restaurants typically offer a few prix fixe choices - and they are usually very good and worth the extra money.

Wow, you do plan ahead! I just got back from Vegas last week and there were lots of places open on Thanksgiving. Couldn't even tell it was a holiday. Don't plan on a buffet on TG. It's a madhouse.
