I received an offer from a casino that said the room was free but the resort fee(s) were not included. Is that a good deal yes, might the casinos begin adding the resort fee(s) to get some money in return. It certainly does help their bottom line.

It all depends on your play. If you have to pay the RFs, your level of play just isn't enough to get them comped.

Meh. all my offers say I have to pay the resort fee but usually at check out either between my play or my resort credits, they are paid for by the hotel. I've rarely had to pay them.
if you're getting comped rooms, you're obviously playing enough to get offers and possibly have them waived or comped at the end of your stay.

Yep, this is typical. they will "comp" your room up front then charge like 30 bucks a night in resort fees at the end. But if you gamble enough during your stay the daily resort fees will get "comped off the back end"

Some properties charge resort fees and some don't. I play the same amount pretty much everywhere, and I am a pretty low (but persistent) roller. CET properties and some MLife properties charge me a resort fee. Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn & Cosmo do not. Guess where I no longer stay or play?

We had a comped room and during checkin they stated we only need to pay the Resort Fee.
After checkout, our host reviewed our play and said no charge.
So these charges can be "played off" but would rather use that to cover other food charges instead of BS fees.

I always pay for the in-room Internet anyway so it kind of evens out as that is included where I stay with the Resort Fees..Not that much of a difference..Free room is a free room even if it costs a few bucks...Atlantic City with the taxes on top is quite a bit though..But what are ya gonna do? Stay home? Nah..
