Just curious -- when you have free slot play to burn what is your machine of choice? Do you tend to go for machines or denominations you woudn't normally play because you are using the casino's "money" rather than your own?

I have a little to use this trip and I always wander around aimlessly looking for a non-progressive machine to blow it on. Looking for suggestions...

I tend to look for the higher denomination machines that will accept the freeplay, then just hope for the best. I tend to burn through the freeplay pretty rapidly because it's always kind of a confusing ordeal for me . . . okay, I gotta put in $5 to start my freeplay? Now I can cash out? No? I can't?

Whatever. With the high dollar machines it just makes it easier for me to follow . . . plus there's that chance that I might win something good.

I try and find machines that pay $1199 on their jackpot. It's usually slower playing because of it being a smaller denomination, which will mean a few free drinks, and you get to keep all your winnings since it's tax free; even if you hit it big.

dollar triple play DDB Super Times Pay......I LOVE that game...even though it doesn't always love me back. But, at $18 a push...it's pretty pricey!

Also love the $5 Double Top Dollar and $5 Pinball. Heck...how about the $5 or $10 slots anything? And, the more I have had to drink...the more likely I am to play it. :evillaugh

Go to the high limit room, find a five dollar non-progressive single line old school 3 reel slot machine and go for it. Double Diamond is my favorite and I play a machine where there is no bonus for extra coins in.
Play one coin at a time until your FP is all gone and hopefully you made some $ back.

I treat freeplay EXACTLY the same as my own money. If I have $200 freeplay, that is the same as pulling two $100 bills out of my pocket. Never, ever treat it differently.

Great answers on this one! Last visit my husband did the $100 promo at Cosmo....played some $5 machines and got zilch. Lost the $100 pretty fast. Then took the freeplay and played max bets on our old fave Davinci Diamonds penny machine. Got back over $100 so we made just a little profit on it. Better than losing it all!

I'm thinking i might play a Miss Kitty or Wicked Winnings slot max bets -- I think they are around $5 a pull -- and pray I hit a great bonus. Those have pretty good payouts if you hit it just right, especially for being penny machines!

    Either that or $1 VP.

agree with nostress. last 2 trips to aria we did our freeplay ($50) on the same quickhits machine we regularly play. first trip, ran $950 through before our freeplay ran out (most we were up was about $175). second trip same thing but we sat on the same machine for 4 hours and ended up cashing $600 out of the machine). got some great play for nothing out of our pocket! good luck!
