I was in Las Vegas for 3 weeks back in April/May. Basically moved from strip and downtown because strip prices on weekend were very high. I stayed at El Cortez for 2 days when i stayed there. I recalled when i was checking out... there was a sign that stated something like if you stayed a night in May... then you get 1 free hotel stay in either June/July or July/August. I'm not sure which of the 2 months it was.

To anyone that has stayed there back in May.... does anyone know about this promotion? It was a sign that was pretty close to the hotel registration desk.

It's July. It's listed on their website right now. I would bet you have to call them to book it though.

George, I just went downstairs to ask at the desk, too many people in line to check in for me to wait. Try giving them a call.

I took advantage of it last April. Had booked two simultaneous rooms in February, and got two certificates at check-in for two free nights. They allowed me to combine them into a four-night single-room stay two months later, and seemed very pleased to do it. Very nice people at their reservation desk, and both managers I encountered as well.

Did you book the original rooms in April through Elcortez? I called them and they told me this promotion was only available to those who booked it through their website. I had used hotels or orbitz to book it previously and they told me i'm not eligible for it because of that.

The original rooms were booked through Hotels.com , but it was last year. They added that stipulation afterwards about booking directly, so they're correct. It helps their bottom line to book directly, as they don't have to share the income. Makes sense, but unfortunately makes you ineligible this time around, I guess.

i almost stayed at el cortez next week but my vegas connect came through,.

but when i booked (through i4vegas) i booked 4 nights and got 2 of those 4 free...

originally the price was 153 for 3 nights... but booking a 4th would cost an extra 3 bucks... so my plan was book 4 nights and get an early check out on monday ...
