Is the HOB Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay still "private?" Do they have a dance floor? On a related note, does Mixx at Mandalay get a crowd on Friday and/or Saturday night? Thanks!

Anyone can go to Foundation Room. I do not recall seeing a traditional dance floor.

I have been to Mix half dozen times - usually just for a quick view. I have never seen it crowed other than for special "events".

It's no longer private (it used to be that it was only open to members except on Mondays, when the general public can get in), although they start charging a cover at a certain point; I generally just say that I'm going up to eat and don't have a problem. If you have one of those 2-for-1 drink coupons that they hand out like candy on the casino floor, that's often enough to get around the cover charge, too. There's space for dancing but I wouldn't quite call it a "dance floor", and there are definitely more people out there as it gets later in the night

Foundation room gets a little crazy, but more of a business crowd or older crowd. I take a lot of people there and they like the place. They actually have 2 areas that play music in, but more house music but more radio hits. Mix is a fun place as well
