    Hi All,

Just wanted to make the obligatory introduction...

I've been going to Vegas, on and off, for about 25 years. For a while, in the late '90s, my wife and I were staying at MGM about four times per year. For the last ten years or so, it's been Bellagio for us.

It's been nearly 1.5 years since our last trip (life intruded, as it will from time to time), but we're headed back in May for our anniversary. Can't wait!!

I mostly play BJ, with occasional forays into craps. My wife is a serious video poker player.

    Anyway, hello! :)

    Ken

    Orlando Newbies...

    Hello,

This will be our first REAL trip to Las Vegas!! Seeing that you happen to be from the Orlando area and a regular to Las Vegas, I was wondering if you have any first timer advice for us? We will be visiting the end of April and staying at Palms Place. Thanks in advance for any info! :peace:

Hey Ken, welcome to the board. I assume FNG stands for "Funny new Guy"? :ssst:
I'm an east central Florida person, as I have found this board very resourceful and the people all very helpful.
Enjoy your trip in May for your anniversary. I will also be out there the 21st - 24th.

    Hi,

Lots of things to see and do out there while still in "tourist" mode on those first trips. Where to spend the bulk of your time depends, as you'd expect, on your own preferences. Dining, gambling, shows, etc.

Feel free to PM me some more details; I'll be glad to offer a few suggestions.

Thanks!! It'll be 16 years for us on May 17th. It's hard to believe it's gone so quickly. Life, right? :)

Can't wait to get back there!

    Welcome from another Floridian.

Four times a year?!?!!? Don't tell my wife or else she will be asking why we don't do that. We tend to only do twice.

Hard to find decent flights out of Orlando as they really scaled back on directly flights.

    Hi there!

I hear ya; my wife wants to know why we're only going quarterly!

Yeah, the commercial options have been cut to the bone. We tend to fly Delta to Vegas, usually connecting through MSP or SLC westbound and MEM coming home.
