Hi guys.....leaving for Vegas in 6 days and just received an email to upgrade my Go Luxury to a Go Mini Site King for an additional $20 a night. We are staying for 4 nights. Would you take the upgrade, or am I going to be just as happy in the Luxury Go room?

    Thanks
    Tam

If they are sending offers 6 days before arrival, I would bet they have more than 1 suite available. I would also bet the $20 trick would work, save yourself the extra $20 a night extra and still get the suite.

If it doesn't work, I'm sure you'll like the Go room.

Well, how much does the extra room matter to you? For me, $20/night would be an entirely reasonable price to pay for the extra space and separate sitting area (with a separate TV if memory serves). The biggest knock on the GO rooms, IMO, is their size – they are pretty tiny.

But, if you are the type to wake up, shower, and then never see the inside of your room until you crash, then you’d probably be better off saving the money…or doing what TylerH50 suggests and trying to score one even cheaper at check in.

I would, because personally, the nicer the room the better. Only you can decide if the extra room is worth $80 total. And don't forget you can use TR points to pay for it, or a portion.

I paid $20/night to upgrade from a comped Fab luxury to a Go room on the same email offer, and was thrilled to do it. However, it ended up being comped off, or they didn't charge it at all, whatever... it was not on the room bill when I checked out early morning via tv. So I do think they comp those off if you give enough play.

My host told me he wouldn't bother for just me as it wouldn't give me that much extra I would need. But sounded like it might be a nicer idea for 2 people.

if the extra room is important go for it.....$80 seems like a lot before you hit Vegas, but once you are there $80 can go really quick....

Do the $20 trick? Don't be shy or afraid. This is Vegas where you gamble on everything. Have fun.

We paid the extra $20/night for the same upgrade a couple of months ago and I felt that it was worth it, especially since we checked in on a night where the availability was somewhat limited.

I would post some pictures but I can't seem to get the file size right. :poke:

    Enjoy your trip!
