We started our 4 night stay at South Point. Great room and very clean and quiet. Remember someone several years ago telling people to bring a roll of tape along to tape the curtain closed so the floodlights didn't brighten the room at night. It worked great again. We love our coffee in the room and there is a coffee maker in every room plus we bring extra coffee packets. We didn't do as well gambling there this year. My wife plays VP and I bounce between VP and penny slots. It really seems like they have tightened the machines. We had alot of 4 OAKS but just 125 credit type wins. It was still a nice stay.

We then moved to the Flamingo for 3 nights. I did everything I knew to get a room with a coffee pot. Just wasn't going to happen. I did the $20 trick at the desk but no coffee maker. Had a room with a good view of the tropical garden and the LINQ. The FAB rooms have a table with one chair and a settee with no back on it. No way to relax except for the bed. I went down and got coffee twice and we survived. The furniture in all the rooms is really beat up. The bed and pillows were good though. Seems like they are cutting back on routine maintenance on the rooms. Surprisingly we did better gambling at the Flamingo than South Point. We had 4 Aces at the same time at Bugsy's Bar for 400 credits. My wife got a Royal for $1000 at a VP bank by the sportsbook. I guess we are getting to old for a 7 night stay. We couldn't wait to get home. We are still recovering from the trip!

Luckily we flew Allegiant out of our home town of Rockford, IL. Good flight both ways and on time. If we would have flown from O Hare or Midway we would still be in Vegas. The Radar Center fire in Aurora, IL really messed up flights to Chicago and Milwaukee. Our pilot said he had to fly at a lower altitude that normal beause of the outage. Nothing else exciting to say. Just glad to be home safe.:wave2::wave2::wave2:

Good enough, all the main points covered. Thanks for sharing. Will be staying at Flamingo too. I always check the bank of VP machines next to the sports book, one in particular :ssst:, and the bars can be good too, sometimes.

Wow, doing better at Flamingo than SP! We gave up CET props after many sessions of $100 in and $0 out. I did feel that SP slots were tighter in April then they had been. Staying in Nov so I will compare again. Sounds like you had a great trip.

The last 3 years us gals stay at the Flamingo and book the GO ROOMS and have never been disappointed. Small coffee maker, mini fridge, electric sheers and drapes to open and close and LOVE the TV in the bathroom mirror. Each year we have been lucky to get a different view each time and our rooms next to or across from each other.

Can you give me any details on flying Allegiant out of Rockford? Like how much extras cost like bags etc. How was the flight and service?

    Thanks

    Tom
