Have not stayed at Flamingo and gambled there very little.
Stay at NYNY a few times.
The only thing that Flamingo "may" have over NYNY is its location but that is about it.
NYNY has a lot more to offer with regards to meals and I prefer to gamble there over Flamingo as well.
If you plan on gambling I suggest charging the meals to your room and see what you will get removed at the end of your trip.

I tend to agree with this, except I would add that Flamingo also has a much better pool

Flamingo has a great pool. Otherwise NYNY has it beat IMO.

I have stayed at both and the major difference I noticed is this, NYNY is more of a complete resort. The dining and drinking and partying at the Casino bars is on another level from Flamingo. I had a blast there, met more people in the resort to party and hang with than any other trip I have been on.

Flamingo only gets the nod in pool and location if you are going to be on the move a lot. NYNY works well for me because of the easy trek to MGM and Luxor and Mandalay, I spend more time south than north. Than is obv a personal thing though, you mileage may vary.

I'd go with NYNY: better room and I like the south strip location with Tropicana and all the MGM properties in the area.

I also prefer NYNY for dining options and casino (slot selection and atmosphere).

Does NYNY have a party pit? What days, what hours?

NYNY Park Ave Room is better. Muuuuch better.

Flamingo has the better pool. Actually, NYNY's pool is total crap in comparison.

Flamingo has better location. But that's verrrry subjective. My favorite part of the strip is around PH and Cosmo and the Flamingo is not far from that.

Add to that, now, the Linq is coming along which borders the Flamingo.

I think there, it's a matter of what clustered area you like.

NYNY is not way far south like Mandalay but too far from the center. I think you'll have to like that clustered area. The great thing is that if you go one properties north into Monte Carlo, you can hit the tram to Bellagio (with a stop at City Center) and one property south into Excal, you can hit the tram to Mandalay (with a stop at Luxor).

    That's a +1 for NYNY right there.

Iv stayed at both. Room quality I'd say nyny but everything else is flamingo. Plus you can catch the monorail at flamingo and go south to MGM to have ease of access to the south end

Ha, I forgot about the monorail. Good one.

I personally never use it cuz it's so far back and away from where I have stay but I see why it's worth it since it's right behind the casino there.

Flamingo for me. Great rooms right on the strip... short walk from the room to the strip. Casino offers a great vibe and fast service .
Flamingo pools are great...The adult pool is one of the best.

NYNY's pool sucks but other than that I'd choose New York any day of the week. It's a nice mid level property that even low rollers will get half decent discount offers or occasional free nights. Table minimums are usually $10 to $15 and easy walk to MC or Excalibur if you want to really low roll.

I would choose Flamingo mainly for the location.
