My wife and I are going to be spending the week of New Year's in Vegas, and we decided to stay at Flamingo this time around. I was able get a couple nights free, and was able to get the rest of the nights, including New Year's Eve, for around $100 each. I thought that was a pretty decent rate for New Year's Eve, especially since most of the rates skyrocket for those days in vegas. Has anyone had any luck finding really good deals at other hotels in Vegas for New Year's? I've been to Vegas a few other times for New Year's, but it was always with several friends, and we split a room between us so I can't remember what rate we got. They just really seem to jack up the rates during this time. I appreciate any suggestions that anyone may have. Thanks!

What tier TR card do you have? I was able to get 4 nites free and $27 for NYE which will be waived later.....Also at the Flamingo. We usually stay at Paris or Bally's but they wanted a little more for NYE and since we have other couples with us who were also getting rooms much cheaper @ Flam....... decided to try them. Thought it would be good to stay near the Ling (with a short walk to Cromwell / Harrah's, etc.) this time since the weather will be colder than we are used to. I have seen very high rates for many hotels for 12-30/31 & 1-1.....no way I would pay those prices tho....

Well, it looks like you got a much better rate than me. :) I'm just a lowly gold member. We spread the wealth between mlife and total rewards, so it's tough for us to reach the upper levels at total rewards properties. That, and we only go to Vegas 3 or 4 times a year. Either way, congrats on getting the great rates. I do like the Flamingo's close proximity to the Linq, which should be hopping on NYE. I saw some of the NYE rates at places like Aria and Caesar's. They were just out of sight, especially when I get free rates during the summer. Either way, it should be a lot of fun over New Year's.
