I got it for DIRT Cheap. It's seems like a steal for being right in the heart of the strip. Any thoughts?

I have stayed at every CET property except for IP and Paris. Flamingo is my favorite by far. Its so easy to get around and you can be on the strip in minutes. I stayed at Caesars once and it was like a 15 minute walk from room to front of property, then five mins more to the strip.

Its got a top 5 pool, and great mid-level dining. Carlos and Charlies and Margaritaville are both fun to eat and drink at. I wouldnt recommend the buffet unless its heavily discounted though.

Everything is reasonably priced by LV standards.

Dirt Cheap is good. I like the Flamingo, especially the GO rooms. The location is great. I love the animal habitat. The fast food options there now are really nice. Just try not to look at the carpeting in the hallways :)

I also have found the property to be one of my favorites. As noted by some others, the location is great, can go north or south on the strip very easily. Easy in and out for both walking and parking (at least it was in April, not sure how Linq construction may have impacted it). It's also one of my favorite poker rooms.

I love the Flamingos location combined with the price. The rooms are fine, love the addition of a food court and last time I was there they had a bunch of $1 Beers at the poker Bar (not sure if that deal is still there or not). If you are a guy sitting at the bar after midnight you will have no problem finding women to talk to but chances are that they are hookers. They can be a little high pressure at times but mostly just good entertainment. I love being able to walk out and be mid strip which is why I have spent my last 4 trips here and my next on 11/18!

I was going to ask the same question!! Dirt cheap to one may not be dirt cheap to another.........:)
We really enjoy the Flamingo, great location. Some rooms better than others, I love the GO rooms but am only comped for the FAB rooms, have upgraded on arrival, that amount always seems to change though!

    Dirt cheap

I'm not the OP, but I found a Go Room during one of the cheapest week of the year IMO, Dec 16-20, $31.50 per night. I was booked at Mirage for $35 plus resort fee, but that $31.50 is just slightly higher than the resort fee. Its a buy ahead special, you have to pay the whole thing up front. But four nights, total, for a Go Room was only $141 and change.

I've never stayed there, so I have been watching for opinions on Flamingo, too. Its not like its that big of an amount of money, and if its going to suck, I'll just stick with the Mirage. I know what to expect there.

Flamingo gets good reviews and is on our radar for our next trip. I'd be willing to spend more than $50 a night for a Go Deluxe room.

Just stayed at Flamingo for the first time in a Fab Deluxe room in the Habitat tower. I admit I was nervous after reading a bad review a few weeks ago on vegastripping but I'd stay in Flamingo again. My room was a Fab deluxe in the Habitat tower. When making my reservation online in the requests field I asked for a strip view if available and was given a room with a great night view of Caesars and Bellagio on check-in.
I use the hotel room to sleep in and the room was very comfortable and well kept. My complaints are minor: I could sometimes hear water running through the pipes. Not very loud but just there if you noticed it. The shower has a straight bar (I wish everyone used the curved bars to create more room).
I loved the location, very easy to go north or south or across to Caesars/Bellagio/Cosmopolitan.

Just stayed there in August. Did not hear the contruction at the IP, however did hear people running down the hall yelling and screaming once and a while. Not too often though and when it did happen they usually stopped or went in their room soon after. There was one night someone must of had an accident or just couldn't hold their liquor. About 4am a cleaning crew ran a carpet cleaner up and down the hallway for about 30 minutes. That was annoying , but I'm glad they cleaned up whatever happened. Basically the doors are very thin. All of the staff were very friendly and it is a great location.

Going back to the flamingo in November for 2 nights comped.

    love flamingo

I'm a big fan on the Flamingo - its my "home" hotel for sure.
    I'm there Nov 18-23 comped - can't wait!!

Center Cut Steakhouse is fairly new, and surprisingly good for the price. Its a bit cheaper than the likes of N9NE, SW, etc, and does offer some almost comparable food (not QUITE there... but definitely worth the price).

$3 drafts outside, great location - Love it there!
Shower in GO rooms = amazing!

$3 drafts are at the bar outside (i think you can get them inside as well).... right at the corner when you leave flamingo heading towards Bill's Gamblin Hall. I believe its 12oz for $3 and theres a bigger one for $4 (I think)....
This was for sure the case as of April when I was there last

It used to be $2 Drafts a few years ago....
I know they have Fosters, MGD, and a few others. Normally they open early afternoon.

You can get $3 21oz draft inside Bally's (walk in front doors, hit the bar to the right, right in the middle of the slots -> although its only Bud/Bud light and maybe a few other domestic brands).

And of course $1 Michelob bottles down at Casino Royale.... if you can stand Michelob..... heh

I have only stayed in a Go room(with&without a view) at the Flamingo, and was put into a suite on one trip. The Go rooms are very nice, great showers but only some rooms have a tub and a shower...most just have a shower. The casino is easy to get around in, great access to the strip, parking lot is easy to get into and out of from Audrie St that runs behind the property. Audrie was still open up to the Flamingo, but closed right past there due to the Linq contruction on my last trip. So if you are worried about it being too good to be true, it may not be. It really depends are your room and you being comfortable in it. Not a GO room? As long as it's a Fab room you should still be okay from what I have been told from friends who have stayed in one.

Prices on the FAB Luxury just dropped $50. For April 25-28th, it was $250, now it's $200. Is this a good price? Book it?

There is a very scathing (and quite recent) review of the Flamingo by one of the main contributors of VegasTripping.com. Might want to check it out.
