Now that Caesars in stuffing "Resort Fees" down our throats, I am planning on booking before they kick-in.

I've stayed at Flamingo a few times and last year got comped 4 nights in a Go Luxury room.

I booked the Flamingo for a July Mon-Fri. vacation, but now am thinking of changing.

My question: As a low-roller, Should I keep my Flamingo Fab Deluxe room for $50/night OR book Caesars Roman Tower room for $100/night. While they're across the street from each other, I've never stayed at Caesars and would like to. I would NOT like to get stuck with an unrenovated Roman Tower room. What are the odds that I could get upgraded to a nice Caesars room in the Palace or Augusta towers?

Is Caesars worth $200 more than Flamingo for the four nights?

The roman tower is not worth the extra cash, IMHO. And this is coming from someone who thinks the Flamingo is a dump.

    I agree with gilly.

Caesars standard is horrible looking for the price. See pictures.

I second and third the opinions above. Although I don't know what the odds are that you could get upgraded to the Palace or Augustus towers, I personally wouldn't take the chance. DEFINITELY not worth the extra money if you're unable to upgrade.

Never book a Roman Tower room

There are better rooms at other hotels (like Flamingo).
If you can get a Forum Tower or better, book Caesars. They do often upgrade at a small fee ($30/nt), but Forum Tower is solid.
Have you looked at Harrahs or Ballys? Harrahs std rooms & Ballys North tower rooms are nicer than Flamingo FAB rooms.

What makes the Harrah's room nicer than the Flamingo Fab room? How do the pools compare between these two properties?
