Well, I ahve finally decided that I am heading to Vegas for four days over Thanksgiving and right now I have booked the Flamingo for 2 nights on Monday and Tuesday and then moving over to Aria for the last two nights. I have been to Vegas many times and stayed at the following.

    Venetian
    Palazzo
    Treasure Island
    Harrah's
    Paris
    MGM Grand
    Rio

I am 40 year old male travleing alone and while I am looking forward to somewhat of a splurge the last two nights at Aria I currently am a little aprehensive about the flamingo. I will admit I am a little bit of a low budget snob and love the feeling of the higher end casinos and rooms however am on a little tighter budget now than I used to be. I ahve not been to Vegas in over five years and the last time Aria etc was just being built. From everything I ahve read the Aria seems like my type of place however can be a bit of a walk to get to the strip.. I will walk alot plenty during the day however I want to hang out in the casino that I am staying at later in the evening.

I am about the most indecisive person and could spend an extra $120 and stay at Aria all four nights or keep my last two nights there and stay at Flamingo or move elsewhere.

It seems that the reviews ont his site are better than some of the other travel websites out there and don't want to feel like I am making the wrong decision on where to stay

IMO, base your decision on how you felt about your stays at Rio or Harrahs as these are two other mid-tier hotels. If they were ok, then go for it. The Flamingo does have remodeled rooms that should be a bit nicer than the other two, but it's still a mid-tier hotel.

I too stayed at the Flamingo twice in the past. I would not stay there anymore. We visit almost all midstrip casinos during our annual trip. The Flamingo is overdue for an overhaul. Great location and I like the Margaritaville, but that's about it. If you can afford it, stay at Aria all 4 nights. IMHO

Yep, done the Flamingo a few times in the past, but no more. Aria is beautiful and has a really crisp and clean feel to it. Spend the extra for all four nights.
