Ride the High Roller at the Linq. I saw it built, it's a fantastic 30 minute safe ride.

Don't jaywalk unless you want a bowling pin experience.

Don't drink and drive unless you want to experience "American Jail"

The only machines that are certain to discharge money are the ATM's. Avoid using them. They all charge huge fees. If you gamble, bring cash, set a limit, don't blow it all the first night, have fun! If you win big the first night, STOP!

Go see a show. I have seen Blue Man Group at Monte Carlo 14 times over the year and am looking forward to the 15th! I've seen:

    Anthony Cools X-rated Hypnotist 13X
    Mac King Magic Show 7X
Penn & Teller Magic Show 5X
    David Copperfield once (sucks)
Criss Angel Magic Show once (not so good, too bad, he's a personal friend)
    Cirque du Soleil KA 5X
    Cirque du Soleil O 4X
    Cirque du Soleil Zarkana 2X
    Cirque du Soleil Mystere once
    Cirque du Soleil LOVE once
Cirque du Soleil Zumanity (hated it)
    Absinthe once - FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
Topless shows (too numerous to count)
Comedy Clubs (too numerous to count)

    If you have a car:

Valley of Fire is WAY, WAY better that Red Rock State Park. It's Red Rock on steroids. 75 minutes North on I-15.

Go see the Hoover Dam and the bridge over the Colorado River. While you are there walk the Rail Tunnel Trail. Do the Zip Line out in Boulder City too.

Go to Fremont St & Container Park.....

Now, before I continue, how many months is your trip?

... Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Pahrump, Mesquite.....

    Go with a game plan.
Have a list of things to do because for a first timer Vegas can be overwhelming and you won't know where to start.
Granted you won't finish your list but it will be good to have and an excuse to return and finish the list on future trips.
